Light chocolate, coffee, and a hint of some kind of fruit. Has a light chocolate but more of a coffee taste. Definite dark roasted malty flavor. I am not usually a stout drinker, but this one I really like. dmac (1449), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 22, 2009 12 oz botle from Spirits Toms River. Pours a deep dark brown with an average sized light beige slightly foamy head. Aroma had some decent roasty and toasty malts along with vanilla, cream and light chocolate notes. The body is pleasant with softer carbonation over a medium body and a smooth finish. Flavor of roasted malts, sweet burnt notes, dark grains. A good sessionable starter stout but not to complex. skoll (129), Traverse City, Michigan, USA

Flavor continues with the hops, dark chocolate, coffee, with a bitter citrus character combined with the typical roasted malts of a stout. Overall, pretty good mix of hops and roast.

Very dark brown, almost black. 1 finger tan-colored and rather creamy head.
Plenty of dark and roasted malt aromas. Hints of dark fruits. A decent amount of earthy hop aromas as well. Compared to the bottled version it’s slightly restrained. It lacks some bigger and fuller aromas.
Firm semi-sweet malt body, nice roasted flavors. Some dark fruits, dark bread and earthy wood notes. Very pleasant hop flavors, earthy and gently spicy. Mild bitterness, juicy malts and more hops in the finish.
Medium body, off-centered carbonation. Rather smooth, though.
A very good low alcohol stout, but inferior to the bottled version. Compared to the bottled version it has less fruity flavors but interestingly a more pronounced hop character. Most importantly, its body is way lighter.
