Very good stout. Beautiful black appearance with a light tan medium head. Decent coffee, chocolate aroma. Taste was kinda plain, but great at the same time. A little vanilla, roasted coffee flavors. Better than expected.

Bottle - huge coffee aroma. A beige head so tightly bubbled that it nearly looks like a nitro pour. Very roasty! A nice bitter bite at the back. Creamy palate. Very nice!

Bottle. Dark body with a thin beige head. Nose is very sweet and malty. Flavor is roasted malt, hops, caramel, coffee, and a little prune. There is a stronger hop presence than I was expecting. There is a good balance between carbonation and flavor. The mouthfeel is very clean for a stout IMO. The finish is dry and just a little rough on the tongue. I beleive this is a well done stout and it is very enjoyable. Would be a good beer to have with a sandwich.

Almost opaque black with a foamy tan head. Chocolate, coffee, anise in the nose. Good feel in the mouth. Creamy and medium bodied. Taste was chocolate and coffee. A decent stout.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2005 Really, this just seems to be a fruity/hoppy stout. It is dry with cherries or plumbs in the beginning and a little bitterness afterward. It is different from a lot of other stouts in the hops. All of the other flavors are mild. Certainly, there’s some chocolate and coffee going on.
