Fizzy, opalescent dark brown liquid with quickly disappearing, big chocolate-colored head and subsidence also. Intense, mature aroma with malts, roasted coffee, chocolate. Taste is medium sweet with bread and chocolate notes. Aftertaste is like bitter chocolate with some hops. Feels a bit dry to me, when all the bitterness comes at once, and somewhat syrup-like at the same time. Roasted taste, alcohol and bitterness attacks too intensively at the end.

Színe és habja? Akár a család zömének. Illata kávés, komlós, élesztős, kávés és sötét gyümölcsös. Ízében is igen érezni a komlók gyümölcsös és kesernyés aromáját, egy kis kávéval, fekete csokival és pörkölt magos zamattal. Közepesen testes és kevéssé szénsavas. Utóíze kesernyés és kissé fanyar és száraz. Kellemes ízű és könnyen csúszó stout.

This pitch black stout has a lovely nose of coffee and cocoa, overlying a slight aroma of grapefruit and seawater. The hops are more pronounced on the tongue, with plenty of coffee and some aniseed also in evidence. Perhaps the only knock on this beer is the the hops are too prominent for a stout, robbing you of that nice stout aftertaste.

Black body with a nice cappuccino-like head. Aroma of roasted malt. Taste is choco, some coffee, then comes the hoppy character. Dry, hoppy finish. medium-bodied

Very very roasty aroma, some fresh hop character too. Came up with a fairly and creamy head. Very dominant dark chocolate and espresso character, rich and delicious. Really nicely balanced plate, nice tingly bitterness to it that stops the intensity of the chocolate roastiness from being overwhelming. really enjoyed it

12oz bottle from local Meijer. Black pour into tulip. Appears like root beer with offwhite lingering head a half inch tall. Smells like vanilla and syrupy malt, a little sarsaparilla scent too. Medium/large body with lots of carbonation. Sweet at first with malty cola taste, flavors of chicory and black licorice. Finish has a big roasted taste, a little sour and dry. Nothing bad, enjoyable but nothing too unique either.

12oz. Pours black with a nice dark tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, bitter coffee, toast, and some caramel. The flavor is super balanced throughout. Roasted malts, ash, a hint of dark fruits, and earthy hops. Easy enough to drink all six too, making this even more enjoyable.

Finger and half of light tan head. Black, brown on the edges, color body.
Soft roasted malt smell and hazelnuts.
Taste starts with a light roasted malt, quickly moves to bold burnt wood, a bite of bitterness, finishes with the roasted malt. Really nice profile.
Creamy texture with a bit of fizzy, but only moderate carbonation.
A pretty awesome stout.
