Flaska hamnmästaren - doftar något unket. Mörk och beigt skum. Brända toner och försiktigt.

Dark black but some red hue. Short creamy tan head. light lace. Roasted malts, chocolate, caramel bit of sweetness. Smooth roast, chocolate malts. Rich with an equally balanced sweet bitter. Pine hop character under the roast with more pine in bitter.Bit of citrus tang to it. Sweet and bitter linger. I enjoy this stout way more than average stouts. Great stout.

355mL bottle Near black, near opaque beer. Pours a good sized rocky tan head. Punchy aroma packed full of grapefruit, pine & grassy malts, backed by a solid measure of chocolatey, caramelly, nutty malt. Full body with good carbonation, has a slickness to the texture. Palate comes through with more bitter chocolate & roast nutty malts combining with citrus peel, & woody pine hops. Firm bitterness on long finish. Very nice American-style stout

DocJitsu (951) - Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2014
Pours a clear, dark, ruby-cola brown color with a fat, tan, long-lasting head. Dark roasted malt, chocolate and mild smokiness. Smooth an thick. More bitter smokiness appears in the flavor than was noted in the aroma. Chocolate comes through, but is expressed more in the nose. Coffee and coffee acidity emerge as well.

A black-bodied beer with a beige, fully lasting head that covers the glass in lovely draperies. Malty, moderate aroma with burnt notes and ash. Quite strong flavour of hard roasted coffee with ash and fruity notes in the back. Moderate to light sweet with a light dry and moderate bitter finish. Fantastic mouthfeel! It has a creamy and smooth texture, it’s mid-bodied and has a moderate carbonation.
[33 cl bottle shared with my father-in-law, from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo]
