Liter body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, sweet finish. Well, I donít know about itís tripel status, but I found it tasty. flavor was my favorite part, I found it sweet, bit not overly so.

Pours a nice clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma is at the same time dry and fruity with bread, banana, plum, and spices. Great flavor of banana, plum, apple, pear, candi sugar and champagne. Medium bodied and refreshing. The finish is nice and spicy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: Draft at Swift Hibernian Lounge, 9/14/09, under the alias "Sierra Nevada Abbey Tripel"
Aroma: All the standards are there, candi sugar, yeast, banana, spice, bubble gum, sweet fruits
Appearance: Golden color, with a bright white, but thin head
Flavor: Similar to the nose, a nice semi-sweet malty tripel flavor, lots of yeast and fruit, but not overly sweet to the point of ruining the beer
Palate: Light-medium body with a nice fizzy mouthfeel, drinks really nicely, no burn at all for an 8.5% beer
I was sitting at the bar watching them get this one ready and figured I might as well try it. Until I saw the tap handle I didnít realize Sierra Nevada made a tripel. I actually found this beer to be quite refreshing and flavorful. A nice beer, that stays pretty true to its style. My memory of this beer was how nicely it drank.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light banana, clove, and sugar aroma. Not too assertive. Golden pour. Thin head, decent lace. Not that interesting looking. Man I have to shit. Iím gassy as a motherfucker. I am also a fan of white dudes returning punts - jordy nelson - gay ass name. Julian Edelman is also a white dude that returned punts during the preseason for New England. His name is hella gay too. Light sugary sweet, banana, clove, grain, light alcohol. Banana, sugary sweet flavors, alcohol, grain. American tripel defined. Jay cutler sucks.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2009 Falling Rock, draft. Heavily filtered, clear gold, little white head. Syrupy and sweet throughout, simple syrup-like sugared flavor, wet, sticky and cloying. Active carbonation, cola-like syrupy texture. Far too sweet with little yeast character left. Disappointing.

Tap at browerij lane. Pours a golden amber. Nose of Belgian yeast and fruit. I find it clean and well carbed with a somewhat classic triple flavor ala Sierra. Itís like a sessionable triple, not bad at all.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
draft at Taco Mac, Windward. Served in a pint glass.... oh well, at least I got some extra beer... arrived a pale yellow with a thin white head... typical Belgian yeast aroma with a thin layer of banana and lighter fruit... medium body... average sweetness and underlying sweetness... nice finish... overall a very drinkable Tripel with some really fine edges... but lacks something to bring it to the next level.
