3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden colour with loose, thin head. The aroma is peppery, with light floral and phenol and maybe a herbal accent. Dryish, with some herbal character. Decent - peppery and sweetish but nonetheless a balanced interpretation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 19, 2009 Draft… Clear golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is sweet, biscuity, sweaty and lightly spicy. Full-bodied and oily with medium carbonation. Very sweet, but it seems there is a frail attempt at balance. Finishes sweet, spicy and lightly acidic.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Delaney’s. Golden colour with some white head, leaving abundant lace. The carbonation is right there. Sourness in the finish detracts from the enjoyment. Not a great representation of the style, but still drinkable. Alcohol seemed higher in this one.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at RFD as SN Belgian Tripel. Pours a clear, apple juice with pretty much no head to speak of. Aroma is tons of candi sugar, big bubblegum. Taste is similar: white sugar, a bit of spice, yeast, white grapes. Sort of like a heavy Asti Spumante or other cheap champagne. Unimpressive.
