COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using Rock Candi Sugar and an authentic Belgian Yeast Strain. The aromas are of coriander, banana and bubble gum. This is a very limited draft production offering as we do not consider ourselves a Belgian Style Brewery.

Hazy deep blond color. The aroma is a bit fruity and lightly soapy. Sweetish malt flavor, light alcohol feeling. Simple.

Golden colour with loose, thin head. The aroma is peppery, with light floral and phenol and maybe a herbal accent. Dryish, with some herbal character. Decent - peppery and sweetish but nonetheless a balanced interpretation.

On tap at Falling Rock poured a clear tarnished gold with a lingering ring of off white foam. Aromas of pear, apple, candi sugar, spice and light carmel. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of pear, pineapple, candi sugar, spice and light carmel with a crisp lingering sweet finish.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2009 Draft… Clear golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is sweet, biscuity, sweaty and lightly spicy. Full-bodied and oily with medium carbonation. Very sweet, but it seems there is a frail attempt at balance. Finishes sweet, spicy and lightly acidic.

Draft at Delaney’s. Golden colour with some white head, leaving abundant lace. The carbonation is right there. Sourness in the finish detracts from the enjoyment. Not a great representation of the style, but still drinkable. Alcohol seemed higher in this one.

Tap at Blind Tiger Alehouse. Orange-golden pour with a thick head. The nose is quite intense with lots of clove and plenty of cinnamon and allspice. Fairly fruity notes in back with lots of red apple, peach and a bit of banana. There is also a touch of spearmint character that is quite nice. A touch of cherry towards the back. The body is lean but the beer does finish somewhat sweet. Crackery Belgian malt base tends to keep this in check though. It certainly doesn’t have the cloying sweetness that typifies the style in the US. A pretty solid interpretation of the style.
