puboflyons (589), New Hampshire, USA Jun 7, 2009 2009 batch. From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a bubbly golden yellow with a small amount of fizzy white head that diminishes after a short time. But the carbonation keeps on bubbling. The aroma is of malts with a faint background of hops. There is also something citrusy about it. The mouthfeel is very good. Oh, the taste is a very pleasing balance of malts and hops. It has a freshness about it. I liked it. Pawola22 (676), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Jun 6, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, yellow body with a finger-width, fizzy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a good amount of soapy lacing. Aroma is lightly sweet and pale malts. Some metallic grass and a hint of fruit and honey. Flavor is initially a pale sweetness followed by a metallic, crisp grass. A light honey sweetness in there as well. Some light fruits come in towards the finish with a dry ending. Lingers with a light amount of grassy bitterness. Palate is light, but not watery while maintaining a soft, fizzy carbonation. Overall, a refreshing lager that I can see kicking back on a hot day. Simple, but has a balanced amount of hops that gives this significantly more flavor than any standard BMC offering. notalush (2627), Denver, Colorado, USA Jun 4, 2009 Bottle - crystal clear light gold pour - minimal head that almost completely disappears - aroma of grassy saaz, clean pale malt sweetness, light fruity notes - a clean and crisp lager, with some honey sweetness up front, followed by a gentle noble hop bite, then some yeast notes and bready character - finishes mostly clean, with just some lingering pale malt - it’s a decent lager. Pwn3d (1036), Manhattan, New York, USA Jun 3, 2009 On tap at rattle n hum for Sierra Nevada week. Nasty metallic nose. Not much flavor beside some hop, spice and tang of metal. This beer does not tickle my fancy. GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 3, 2009 Clear yellow with a lightly malted and hopped up aroma. Light, refreshing and clean flavor of hops and malts. This is a light summertime beer and accomplishes everything it sets out to accomplish. This is the beer that Bud Light aspires to be. Good stuff. USCBeerMan (103), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Jun 1, 2009 A nice light summer treat from Sierra Nevada that pours a golden crystal clear liquid that is refreshing. a perfect beer for out in the heat of summer especially on some body of water. Odyn (205), New York, USA Jun 1, 2009 Not a bad summer brew, but just sort of nondescript. A little pale on the color and a little weak in flavor. Not up to some of the other Sierra Nevadas. gpekar (221), Maryland, USA Jun 1, 2009 Poured a clear golden yellow with a tall white head. There was some carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. The aroma was citrusy and grassy. The head went down rather quickly to almost none at all, but left a light lacing from the film. There was a lemony tart citrus flavor and a mild hop bit that developed afterwards, but nothing like Sierra Nevada’s usual hopiness. This was light and refreshing.
