halfonit (423), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA May 22, 2009 Wow I must admit that this is the first beer by Sierra Nevada that really didn’t do anything for me. I smell malts and dried hops with a little bit of yeast. Taste is of wheat, yeast, and hops. But honestly this is not up to their normal standards. Leaves a bitter aftertaste like dirty feet. Nothing too special about this one. gsteph (263), knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 22, 2009 Pours a clear piss yellow. Oh shit...it looks like low-carb. Evervescent bright white head. No persistence and no lace. Skunky aroma of lemons and wet hay. Light flavor of hops and fresh citrus. An odd skunky bitterness on the finish. Very crisp in a light, watery body. Would be a perfect beer for summer as I could see it as refreshing...if it was ice cold. Nose is not very appetizing and the flavor is somewhat non-existent yet dreadful at the same time. obguthr (986), Poquoson, Virginia, USA May 20, 2009 Light aroma of hay, a little shitty. Pale golden, thin snow white head, mimilmal lacing. Plenty of carbonation. Extremely grainy approaching that of a dortmunder. Filmy finish. Not my favorite Sierra Nevada, but fairly refreshing. marcus (1826), Sacramento, California, USA May 18, 2009 On tap at Sacramento Brewing. This pale yellow beer poured with a decent white head and a light floral aroma. It is a refreshing brew, but doesn’t have much flavor - just some pale malt and a slight hop bitterness. mcjay (301), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2009 2009 edition. Pale golden yellow color with a persistent white head. Aroma has a hint of zest but is very skunky. Flavor has a somewhat unique hop taste with a hint of citrus and a pretty bitter finish. Dezzilu (211), Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA May 16, 2009 A light yellow color with a thin white head. Mild aroma with hints of lemon and citrus. The flavor was thin but quite refreshing and was definitely not difficult to pound back. I enjoyed it top to bottom, but in truth this beer would only be memorable if drank of a beautiful summer day. kuphish (150), Bloomington, Indiana, USA May 16, 2009 Bottle. Poured a straw yellow body with a frothy, white, 1" head. None of the typical yeast clouds of SN beers...appears to be filtered and force carbed. Pale malt aromas are accompanied by herbal, spicy, grassy hops. A balanced lager tending toward the hoppier side. Light body with lively carbonation and a clean, moderately bitter finish. Overall a very refreshing summertime lager. Subtly delicious.
