Commercial Description:
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

Beginning Gravity: 11.8 Plato
Finishing Hops: Saaz
Ending Gravity: 2.7 Plato
Malts: Two-row Pale, Dextrin Malt, Munich
Yeast: Lager Yeast (bottom fermenting)

a light, bubbly, lager. the acid white head was thick and fluffy but quickly dissipated and left just a bit of lacing down the glass. The mouthfeel is quite watery and the beer goes down fast. As lagers go, it is pretty tasty and beats the piss out of a macro lager.

Pours a light clear yellow. Has somewhat of a grapefruity taste . A light crisp aftertaste that lingers in the back of the mouth. Flavor is good. I may try the next with a lemon.

On tap at the local with lunch. just what the description implies, a lighter bodies hop critter. A nice froth head and a light golden amber. Easy drinking and not complex.

The Summerfest poured a golden clear color with a smallish head. The citrus flavors and bitter finish was balanced with the malts. The medium body lager used the higher hop levels to its best benefit. An above average beer for anytime. The Sierra Nevada brewer is famous for the Pale Ale. Pale Ales are growing on the beer drinking public. They are seeking more flavor and variety in their beers.

Pours a golden color with a thin white head. An average tasting beer. Pint draft

Nothing too exceptional about this. Just a light blonde beer. Finishes clean. Would be good for the summer, agreed. Unlike the mainstream marcobrews not a lot of aftertaste. Not much complexity.

Backlog Night! 2009 Vintage?!?! I hope no one is cellaring this! The Head on this beer is remarkably loose and the beer pours a clear golden color. The aroma is mildly fruity but faint with a few floral notes. Thus far we’re 0 for 2 but I really like the flavor on this, the beer is very crisp and very bitter with some nice complimentary fruity and citrusy flavors; this mixed with the bitterness provides us with that old familiar soapiness, but overall this stuff is pretty tasty for what it is.

Enjoyed with Dancin’ Paul, our New Beer Pimp Brian, Uncles Tom and Steve, the deputy Dawg of Draugh Celticbrew, and the Alpha Acid of Ales Drbayern. Poured a clear yellow with a good head. The taste was light, with a hint of lemon. I didn’t get a real aftertaste. It would be a good lawnmower beer!
