The aroma was vaguely matty, but couldn’t detect a massive amount going on . Crisp, grassyish flavour with muted hop and citrus tones. A better than average lager, but not really for me. Was expecting a bit more. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 21, 2008 2005 bottle, drank it 2006. Going off memory for this one, I forgot to write it down. Poured gold with soft white head. Lemon was the first smell to hit my nose, followed by a citric floral aroma. Tasted like a german lager with some lemon and some spice. Very smooth and highly drinkable. Wished I had more. fonefan (11003), VestJylland, Denmark

Z crisp and clean lager. Like the best of the Northern German pilsners. Sometimes this is excactly what you want. BlackForestCO (820), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2008 Bottle. Poured a crystal clear yellow color with a thick, rocky white head that left some spotty lacing. Aroma of light pale malts, some light honey, and some soft, floral hops. Smooth, lightly sweet entry with some light honey leads into a lightly spicy, floral hoppiness that finishes with a light fruity citrus (mainly orange peel). Low carbonation, smooth on the palate, light hop bite on the finish. While it isn’t very complex, this is a well-crafted beer that really shows the difference between a good lager and a US Macro. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 16, 2008 Bottle from Tossco (how did this one slip through the net??). Pillowy lager pour with a silky head of suds. Sensible sweet aroma of pale lager malts, soapy citrus, slight hop leafiness. Saaz apparent at first sip, with an added splash of watery citrus and floral hops. Slick and insipid. Does watery English golden ale/ Czech pils crying out for an infusion of US hops better than the English or the Czechs. Decent flowery lager if taken as that alone, but seriously disappointing from a US brewer. evilsoc (191), Wales
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 16, 2008 Golden blonde white headed lager, Aroma of flowers, honey. A sweetish floraly flavour carries through and reminds me of a very average british summer ale, some lemon. Thin body. Short finish which makes you really look for flavour. Not a good beer at all considering the reputation of the brewery. JustinFromAL (114), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours paled golden with minimal off-white head. Herbal nose. Not a bad beer per say, just average. It is what promises to be though, a smooth, light, slightly hoppy summertime beer.
