Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

From 12 ounce bottle purchased from Dent Kroger as part of a mix six pack, tasted on May 8, 2015. Slightly hazy yellow hue, aroma like old time pale lager with fruit notes, thin body, initial sweet mouthfeel with assertive hoppy finish. Interesting.

A 12 fl oz bottle with a packaged date of 17th March 2015 and poured into a Duvel tulip glass. The beer poured a nice clear golden colour with a light one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly but left some nice stringy lacing. Aromas are on the light side, but it is of sweet-ish corn, grassy with hints of mineral notes. Taste is much like the aroma, a little on the light side, but its mainly sweet malt, honey and corn. Crisp, light bodied with medium carbonation. Overall, its definitely crisp and quite nice to drink. Wouldn’t mind a bottle on a hot summer day.

Pours clear golden, very complex. Syrupy bread and hops, bitter and sweet. Complex, but not balanced.

Yellow, clear and bubbly, with a fizzy white head. Malt and yeast aroma. Crisp as the name implies. Not bad.

Bottle from Craft Beer Base. L: pours a bright straw gold with a decent white head that doesn’t last. S: nothing much here, the usual corn and Pilsner malt. T: quite clean and dry, a light spice at the end. F: light-bodied and nicely carbonated. Crisp for sure. O: nothing much to set this apart from the "premium" major lagers in Japan, just a bit cleaner and crisper.

07-24-2015 - I love this beer very much, but not all pilsners. Bought on holiday in the USA!

Bottle. Nothing new here, but this satisfied my craving for a pilsner. Standard appearance, not much foam and carbonation seems a little light. rain and malt flavors, dry and bitter. Big saaz flavor, and it is also in the aroma. I am surprised this is not rated higher.
