stchloe (477), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 7, 2008 A bad lager. I no longer have the vocabulary to describe the thousands of similarities. Beerman6686 (1266), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 5, 2008 Poured a golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma was really bland, just lots of grass and some sweet malts. Flavor was much the same, really boring, but what do you expect fomr the style. oakbluff (298), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Sep 2, 2008 pours light golden, good clarity and nice white head. Nose- very grassy . Taste- grassy, herbal and spicy hops with light toasty malts. Medium mouthfeel for a lager of this style, but finishes clean. Dry finish with crisp carbonation. Good summer time quaffer.
fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a two finger mostly lasting white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of floral and spicy hops with a hint of pale malt. Taste is the same as aroma but more prominent. Medium mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness. Good. jkaiser (219), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2008 Smooth mildly bitter lager. A lager with bite. Yummy and refreshing. Ginormous lacing and pretty head. Pale gold in color. Crisp. Aroma of hops more than malt. Not bad for summer. ilherps (212), Carbondale, Illinois, USA Aug 29, 2008 I love sierra, this is really their first beer I haven’t been too fond of. Given the style its alright, better than macro lagers, but this beer really is lacking that great sierra nevada taste. There is flavor of malts, with a thin, hard to detect hop finish. redlight (1445), Winter Park, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2008 draft. Yeasty, sulphury aroma wth sweet malts and hints of grassy hops. Pours clear blonde with a thick white head. Sweet cereal like malts up front with honey, a crisp hop bite with some sweet grassy notes in finish. Very light and crisp nice for a summer day. JCB (1716), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 26, 2008 12oz from Sam’s, Durham. I almost feel guilty giving such a low rating to a SN beer, since I have such a high regard for their stuff in general. But this is effectively not too far from macro stuff, a lightly flavorful lager that’s thin on the hops and, alas, in the taste.
