Gypsy19 (603), California, USA Jul 1, 2008 Pours a light gold with a perfect 5/8-inch head. The flavor is indeed hoppy and bitter but not so complex at all. As far as lagers go, this is one of the best. Other than that, it’s not especially impressive. If you like the style, this is great. For me, it’ll likely be the 1st and last time. azlondon (656), Fribourg, Switzerland Jul 1, 2008 Appearance: Light golden. Small, shortlived, fizzy head.
Aroma: Hops, floral. Citric, fruity. Quite nice.
Taste: Hops and some malt. Smooth, a bit dry.
Info: 350ml bottle, 23/10-2007 jeremyd365 (109), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Jun 30, 2008 Poured a light copper, mostly clear, and slightly bubbly. Smell was nothing out of the ordinary and the taste was only slightly less boring. Nothing partiularly distinct about this one, but not bad. Drinkable but extremely average. I’d much rather celebrate summer with some flavor. BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Jun 30, 2008 2008 Bottle and served in my SN pint glass: Clean golden hue with a small but lasting frothy head which left spotty lace upon the glass. The aroma has notes of noble grassy hops, biscuity pale malts, dusty yeast ester, and some fruity esters as well. The taste starts with a crisp bitterness supported by light Munich malt. Simple and straight forward drinking beer. The mouth feel is sprite and very refreshing, a easy to drink summer session beer indeed. A solid lager for the season, get it fresh. arventresca (334), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bottle. This tasted just like Sierra Nevada, period. I found no difference. A good beer none the less. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of lemon, other light fruits, nuttiness (maybe hazelnut?), grassy/floral hops. Flavor takes a turn for spicy in the hop department, a very different emphasis than in the nose, but both equally solid. Didn’t find the body watery at all. Good stuff. LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma and flavor of light fruits, wheat, with a spicy kick in the swallow. A little skunkiness as the beer warms. Decent lager. TheOrange (405), Kent, Ohio, USA Jun 28, 2008 The pour is a clear rich yellow, with a good sized frothy white head. The aroma is mild hops, with a hint of some citrus. The flavor is true to the aroma, full hoppy flavor with a well balanced malty finish. The citrus flavor is mostly present in the finish. The Finish it self is a tad slower then expected in a lager. Good beer here.
