Commercial Description:
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

Bittering Hops: Perle & Saaz
Beginning Gravity: 11.8 Plato
Finishing Hops: Saaz
Ending Gravity: 2.7 Plato
Malts: Two-row Pale, Dextrin Malt, Munich
Yeast: Lager Yeast (bottom fermenting)

Clear golden yellow with a two finger head that reduced quickly to a thin film but stayed there and left nice lacing. Hops dominates the nose with a bit of lemon. Malts are much more prominent in the taste, but the hops leave a clean dry finish. Very soft mouthfeel, good carbonation and very pleasing aftertaste. This will be a great beer for hot summer days.

This is a very good lager. For the summer time, if your in to lighter beers, it’s on eof the best. I’m realy not into lighter beers but if I were, this would be the one.

A descent lager. sweet with a slight alcohol taste. Not water , but it has a soft easy palette. I like this. As lagers go this is very good.

12oz bottle served in a lager glass. Pours an effervescent pale gold with a big foamy white head. Smells of lemon zest and herbal hops. Flavor is nicely balanced with some doughy notes and bitterness. Finishes semi-dry. It was 100 degrees today and this is really hitting the spot right now.

12oz bottle. Was clear orange/yellow in appearance, small head, dissipated. Aroma has hop, a little caramel and yeast. Flavor is much the same. Nice hop balance though, not too much bitter - some nice sweet notes run through, some lemon, a little spice. It was refreshing, not what I was expecting.. but clean and refreshing.

12oz bottle: pours golden brown with decemt sized white head, aroma had a lot of hops in it for a lager followed by a hint of malt, flavor was well balanced decent amount of hops lager yeast so it cleaned out all the fruity tastes and malty. decent beer but not my style.

This is no doubt a true summer beer. Nose has a very mild skunkiness. Very bright yellow beer. It has a bit of honey to it but finishes quite dry with a touch of bitterness at the end. Not real malty, but it does have enough to seperate it from a yellow fizzy beer.

Pours a clear orange yellow with about a finger and a half of rapidly dissipating head. Strong note of straw and hop in the odor. Light hop bitterness to start off, but there’s a metallic aftertaste I’m having a hard time getting over. Not really what I expected...
