esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2008 Pale yellow with quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of corn, sweet perfumed malts and a little spice. Tastes like an American macro lager with a little spice and hop character added to it, so basically it’s not that good. Dry astringent finish that lingers a little bitter. dolemite77 (184), Maryville, Tennessee, USA May 17, 2008 Pours a straw yellow, decent fluffy head. Grassy aroma, with some hops present also. A little on the hoppy side for a lager, which lends it a European flavor. Not an exciting beer... but passable. Sierra Nevada didn’t hit a home run with this one, but on a hot day, golfing, etc, etc, this might be a decent grab at the gas station... BeerBaron617 (306), Novi, Michigan, USA May 17, 2008 This is my first Sierra Nevada brew, and I must say, it is quite tasty. It has the drinkability of budweiser, but so much more flavor. I will definitly be buying more Sierra Nevada dkachur (2317), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA May 16, 2008 Bottle from WFM Charlottesville. Nice look, straw yellow and crystal clear. It’s downhill from there. Medium bodied and strong taste, but the quality of the taste and aroma is just blah. llcooldave (309), San Antonio, Texas, USA May 16, 2008 Delicate golden looking color with a nice head. A little funky aroma at the outset but that eventually gives way to a nice malt scent. Wonderful hoppy bitterness on the palate and quite bubbly. Nice clean lingering bitterness also. This would make a nice brew for the Texas heat. thornecb (1736), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA May 16, 2008 Pours bright gold into a shaker. Bright white head quickly subsides leaving no lacing. Sour/sweet beer mung aromas. Tastes like it smells -- like a day old sour lager. Jayb0 (750), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA May 16, 2008 perfectly decent lager from Sierra Nevada. bigger and cleaner than the typical american lager with hopping reminiscent of a german lager. Good summer seasonal alternative. malrubius (969), Valley Stream, New York, USA May 15, 2008 12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Clear golden with lasting white flat head and some lace. Honey malt and mild lemony aroma. Sweet honey malt with exceptionally dry medium bitter finish. Medium-light body medium carbo. Very smooth and crisp yet also flavorful and fairly complex for the style. A refreshing pleasure.
