COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

12 oz 2013 bottle served in a lager glass. Pours golden with excellent clarity and a massive amount of carbonatoin bubbles. The carbonation level is high, but seems appropriate for style and is softly prickly. Quite true to style. So much so that I was about to point out that this "lager" was remarkably like a European Pilsner until I paused and read the back label ("... classic Pilsener-style beer") and saw Saaz hops listed in the ingredients.

Bright yellow pour big head. Aroma of honey, grapes. Tastes czechy with assertive hops over the top of lovely floral malts. pretty good... for a lager.

Tawny yellow with a decent, fading white head. Plasticy settled lager steelyness to the nose. Crisp, neatly carbonated mouthfeel. Cool and clean throughout, lightly grassy hop. Tasted just as good when it was warmer and flatter. No bad.

Bottle from Appellation Wines shared at home - cheers Ash! Pours light gold with a big rocky head. Lemon citrus and lager malt nose. Some very light caramel and floral notes coming through. Light bitterness. Good summer quaffing beer.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear pale yellow with small white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is crisp hops, light body, low carbonation, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is crisp hops. This is a pilsner, not sure why it is listed as premium lager. Not interested in having this again.

Bottle. Nice refreshing and malty. Medium body and medium carbonation. IMHO too much of a macro brewery product.

Crisp taste, nice balance of hop and malt, light enough to drink in the sun, heavy enough to let you know you are drinking a beer. One of my all-time favorites.

Refreshing yet bold and substantial. Love to quaff this citrusy, hoppy delight on hot summer days. If I could only find it in cans, it would displace Harpoon Summer as my go-to beach beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great summer beer. I like the hop undertones, which a lot of other summer beers seem to lack. Very refreshing. Sierra Nevada continues to uphold its reputation as consistently good beer.

Poured from the can. Two and half fingers of head on a clear, straw colored body. Lots of bubbles. Looks great. The aroma is full of bright lemon. The taste is moderate bitterness with a touch of pear and a clean finish. Simple but great. The texture is crisp with a good fizz to it. Wonderful.
