Commercial Description:
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

Beginning Gravity: 11.8 Plato
Finishing Hops: Saaz
Ending Gravity: 2.7 Plato
Malts: Two-row Pale, Dextrin Malt, Munich

Summerfest pours a light golden color with a tall head that lingers. Aromas of skunky citrus and putrefied vanilla cream. Light nectar with ample residual effers. Clean and crisp with snappy hoppsy citrus rind and slight biscuiting. The finish is bittered nicely. This is one of the best lagers out there. A great session beer.

Marks for Appearance are an average, as beer was sampled in weak artificial light after dark. Very grassy nose, pale malts out in force. Again very grassy qua taste, slight & fine sweet touch, crisp. Very fizzy MF, ’smooth’. Light crisp lager - exactly what it says on the label...

Pours golden with slight copper tint. Minimal head and lacing. Nice aroma for a lager. Taste is slightly hoppy lager with a bit of European flavor. Malts are subdued but o.k. Good session beer if lagers are your passion. Problem is I could have had the amber or IPA for the same $6.99. I think I prefer the Full Sail Session Lager taste-wise. If you like more euro-flavors give it a try, but try to buy a single first.

Pours a nice golden color with small white head that is soapy. Nose is pretty offensive, Catty, alcoholic, grassy and corn like. Taste is moderately bitter with some barly and a somewhat gross finish. I was not a fan.

Bottle. Poured a very nice looking crystal light gold with minimal white head...Aroma was nice floral/citris hops. Flavor was an obvious hop presence along with a light malty flavor finishing in a slight bitter, but had a not so pleasant after taste....Palate was very smooth light-medium body with medium carbonation. Not bad, could have done without the odd aftertaste.....Would have rated it higher..

Light crisp aroma of lemon, wheat, a hint of Saaz....and then the skunk. Flavor was malty, with a citrus middle and typical lager finish. Overall, not bad for a lager...I could probably drink a few more...wait, you didn’t here me say that.

2008 from bottle. Pours a light golden honey color. Not much of a head. Has a bit of a citrus taste - foamy mouthfeel. It’s not bad but it’s the worst I’ve ever had from SN. I’ve had better lagers by far.

2008. I’m kinda surprised that this is not listed by year. I remember this being quite good in previous years, but this one is nothing to write home about. Pours clear honey-yellow, with a nice big foamy head. Smells of hops and dried apricots. Taste is eucalyptus and juniper. Blah.
