Commercial Description:
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

Pours with a vibrant golden body covered by a small, rocky, white head. Crisp, citrus hops and pilsner like grass in the aroma. Citrus start to the taste followed by a fruity body and a grassy finish. Good for the style, but I am not a fan of basic lagers. Fizzy mouthfeel.

Poured a dense yellow with a short lived head. Hoppy and citrisy but something’s missing. Finish is short and tangy. Not a bad lager just not as good as I’d hoped for when I pull a Sierra Nevada off the shelf.

Bright yellow pour with white head that does not linger. Lager nose with floral and grassy notes...as well as two-row malts. Flavor is soft hops...mostly grain, with a crisp, clean finish. Nice on a beautiful warm day where you are grilling ribs.

12 bottle via Safeway. Pours a clear gold with a huge off-white head. Nose is typical lager yeast, malts, and some floral hops. Taste is grainy, some vanilla, and an earthy hop finish. A bit metallic. Body is light. Carbonation is moderate. Is almost ok.

Heh SN making something that cant kick start a car? Theres this bread aftertaste that I’ve come to love in my more lite beers. Yeah this is something I can drink all day, easy. Nothing standoutish but still a very good release.

My first reaction to this was that it tasted like a typical Lager. Then I realized that they made it like that. Bright golden colored topped with a medium foam head that tapers away quite quickly, leaving only a small amount of lace. Aroma was a little malty with some lemon. I noticed the citris flavor a little more in the taste along with a malty, almost grassy flavor. Quick strong alcohol note in there and turns slightly bitter and sour into the aftertaste. I don’t really see what makes this so good for the summer but it was a decent beer. An average beer.

2008 Bottle. Pours a golden color with a 3 finger head that quickly dissipates into a film. Nose is grass, malt and a bit of hops. Palate is malt and mild hops with just a touch of bitter in the finish. Nothing special, but it is what it was intended to be – a refreshing session summer beer.
