MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Aug 28, 2007 A Mes rate:
Bottle from Tesco. Pale gold with no head. Very slight malt with some barely noticable sweetness. Really had to try head to pick anything out. Soapy cardboard flavour with sweet malt and an oily finish that eventually turns wheaty. No real balance. Not a great beer. docsteigs (139), USA Aug 27, 2007 Pours with light head; rather yellow for a lager. Smells nice of bread and some floral scents. Taste okay but nothing great here. kimcgolf (825), Dacula, Georgia, USA Aug 26, 2007 Had on tap at taco Mac. Poured to a medium yellow color with decnet carbonation and a medium off-white head that lasted well and left okay lacing. Light hoppy aroma and a flavor that followed suit, with some citrus and dough in both the nose and taste. This all led to a mildly thirst-quencing beer. Not great, but a decent summer beer. beerlord (215), tonawanda, New York, USA Aug 25, 2007 Slight hop boquet in the aroma. Nice light flavor, more like an American Wheat than a lager, very refreshing. jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Aug 24, 2007 12 oz bottle. Not bad... The premium lager description makes much more sense now recalling the beer’s attributes. Citrus aroma with some bitterness. Taste is light hops and refreshing. Malicya (21), Charny, Quebec, Canada Aug 23, 2007 Really disappointing for Sierra Nevada. It taste "OK" for a lager beer, nothing to die for. It’s a good fishing beer for a Budweiser Fan ... not for a die-hard Sierra Nevada drinker. Crafty07 (391), Florence, Kentucky, USA Aug 17, 2007 Nope. Not a great ’summertime’ lager..unless you want a too sweet, very hoppy lager for the summertime. Most of us don’t.
Too expensive for what they’re offering. Trooper11 (464), Suffolk, Virginia, USA Aug 17, 2007 2007 12 oz bottle. Pale yellowbordering on whtie, large foamy head. Light fruit aroma with notes of wheat and hops. Strong hops presence up front, bitter, cry and a bit tangy and a bit spicy. Not very summer like, maybe after mowing a few lawns it would be better.
