Commercial Description:
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

Beginning Gravity: 11.8 Plato
Finishing Hops: Saaz
Ending Gravity: 2.7 Plato
Malts: Two-row Pale, Dextrin Malt, Munich
Yeast: Lager Yeast (bottom fermenting)

Appearance: Pours a clear yellow gold with an active 1/4 inch of sudsy foam. Aroma: Very light whiffs of dry malt and bitter Euro hops. Taste: Metallic, earthy hops, dry buscuity malt. Mouthfeel: Crisp, thin, watery. Overall: The beer is refreshing, and highly drinkable. This isn’t my preferred style, but wouldn’t say no to this on a hot day.

Summerfest has a pale yellow colour. Beer is thin of body, has a malty (in sense of alcohol free) mouthfeel. Modest carbonation, sophisticated hop bitter palate. Fine as a stand-in for alcfree beer, but then we could do without the alcohol.

A clear light yellow beer with a medium amount of bubbles. Small head with light lacing. The aroma is less than desired. Strong in the hops dept. The first sip gave me a small bitter beer face. Not a pleasent one to sit down and relax with.

Tap. Clear golden body. Aroma has light tones of fruit. Smooth mild taste with maltiness and fruitiness

Bottle. Actually got this for my 21st birthday last year in a six pack. Probably liked it better then than i would now but still a pretty good summer beer, very sessionable without losing all flavor like macro light beers.

Pours a pale yellow with thin white head. Aroma is straw and a slight lagering skunk. Flavor is skunky and a slight grassiness. Average at best. I’m usually a big SN fan, but I could do without this one.

Overall Impression: A pretty nice example of the Summer style, I didn’t love this one, but for what it is trying to be I think it does a nice job. You definitely could do worse for a BBQ/by the pool type of brew.
