COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

Pour is a light clear golden color with a two finger thick white head. Nose is of light fruits and hops, almost like a pilsner. Taste is again similar to a pilsner, light and refreshing.

Bottle (12 oz) bought @ Winooski Beverage Warehouse. 2015.

Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow - pale golden with a medium easy to revive creamy white head, rather good retention and nice lacing.

Aroma: Grassy and floral, noble hops with citrusy notes, some spiciness, light sweetness and fresh cereals.

Taste: Slightly sweet with fresh cereals, grassy/herbal features, floral presence, a tiny bit of grape juice and mild bitterness.

Palate: Light body. Moderate to medium carbonation. Clean. Grassy finish with lingering herbalness.

Overall: Well balanced pilsner with a nice grassy and spicy profile. The mild "grape juice" impression hinders drinkability a bit, but other than that it’s not bad at all.

A very mediocre pils. You get the usual sweet grassy and bready aroma a soft palate and mildly hoppy flavor. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it

Pours clear golden yellow with a small white head. Smells malty and balanced with some hoppiness. Taste is crisp, malty, some bitterness. Light-bodied with a smooth texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Sierra Nevada Summerfest finishes with a mild grainy sweetness.

Pours clear pale gold, a finger and a half of white head. Fresh aromas, citrus, cut grass. The palate is crisp and lively. Digging this for summer - light, clean and refreshing.

Brilliant clear golden with a thin by sticky white head. Spicy and grassy hoppy nose with a Pilsner malt and slightly crackery malt backbone. The flavor is crisp and full with Pilsner malts and a touch of blonde cracker backed up by a lasting grassy/leafy bitterness with a semisweet cracker/blonde Pilsner finish. Pretty nice and surprisingly full.

I like most of Sierra Nevada’s beers, but this one was a surprise. I’m not sure what they were going for with this. It had no head to it, no flavor, low carbonation. Being from Texas, I get summer beers, but this has almost a malt liquor type feel to it with a mild bitterness. Not really that enjoyable, even on a hot summer day.
