Commercial Description:
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

Pours a pale gold with a slightly hoppy aroma. There is a nice, slightly spicy, hoppy bitterness in the flavor followed by a dry maltiness. Slightly citric. Not a bad beer actually. A lighter lager that actually has a little flavor.

Golden in color with a small white head. Sweet malt and hoppy.A beer I'll try again when next summer's version is out.

Light clear yellow straw. . . hoppy aroma similar to many other SN smells. . . flavour has some grass, wheat, hay and plenty of hops. Clean and fresh - as you can imagine, nice on a warm sunny day.

Rerate Tallahassee, Fl. - World Market - 12 oz bottle. Medium golden pour, nice soft white head. Faint citrusy and honey aroma. Honey on the tonque, some grassy notes, heavy saaz hoppiness noted. Thickish mouthfeel. solid lager. Original 3.7 Aroma was very citrusy upon pouring but faded slightly afterwards. Nice thick head with good lace. Refreshing on a hot summer night.

355 ml bottle. Brilliant golden colour. Tall white head that clings to the glass. Light, but rich malty aroma. Grainy flavours. Very refreshing with sharp, but floral and grassy hops. Quaffable indeed. Little aftertaste except dryness on the tongue. Reminds me of a Kölsch.

Sierra Nevada brews a beer without a hop assault. Made to be lighter for summer and it works. A good complex lager with lemon notes and a decent amount of hops for a lager. Bottom line is its meant to be a summer beer and if you dont like summer seasonal beers in general this will not impress you.

Bottle 2004: Ok nose. Lemon, sourdough, grass. Lite golden yellow color. Good head that disappeared quick. Sweet, crisp, bitter flavor. Lemon, Toasted grains come to mind. Smooth, sour bitter finish. Very tasty. Now if more lagers were like this...

Bottled. Golden with a bubbly head. Rather dry and papery. Hoppy with late bitterness.
