COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

The beer pours a straw-yellow with a thick, creamy head. I’m glad I decided to dig out the Pilsener glass for this one. Even with an easy pour I had to empty the bottle in stages. The aroma is grainy with faint floral hops. The flavor is light and refreshing, with bitter hops and an ever so slight citrus zestiness. A crisp, bready maltiness keeps everything in balance. The finish is dry and clean.

Pours yellow with a frothy head. Malt and wheat with spice and flower taste and aroma. Some bitter but not too much to be refreshing. Not as crisp as other lagers.

Pours out hazy yellow with a billowing white head. Undistinguished bready/grainy aroma with weak German hops. Much improved in the flavor, sweet honey and the hops rev up to a spicy and slightly citrusy counterpoint. Lingering bitterness and yeasty aftertaste. Good substantial mouthfeel. It’s fine, but there are plenty of better crisp pilseners now coming out of American breweries.

2014 12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a one finger white head that leaves mild lacing. Aroma has some typical pilsner notes. Grain, slight fruit. Taste is balanced but with a slight sweetness. Grain, sweet caramel, and traditional hops. Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Clean and full in the mouth but pretty refreshing. Overall a pilsner with a sweeter twist. Tasty and refreshing.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere - Color: clear blond beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: pils malt with grassy notes. Taste: good carbonation with water sensation. Malt notes, white bread and grass. Aftertaste: water... Small malt presence. Pils style, not what I'm looking for from Sierra Nevada.

Not much aroma, but what I smelled was mostly lagerish. Taste is basic lager with hops thrown in. If that’s your thing, then this beer might do the trick for you. I thought it was okay.

Bottle from Voldby. Pours yellow with a white head. Sweet taste of hops, some spices, lots of floral. Oily texture. Smooth mouthfeel. Finish is light bitter.

Poured in to lager glass from bottle. Pours an almost clear golden hue. Little to no head that quickly fades and leaves no lacing. Light scent of toasty cereal with hints of grass and banana. However, all these scents are very mild and light. Taste is a light malt with mild hoppiness on the back. Definitely a medium bodied brew that is still refreshing and leaves the mouth a tad dry but not too much. I would take this on a hot day compared to an adjunct lager but it still leaves a little something to be desired.

12 oz. bottle poured into sensory glass. Pours a clear, bright golden color with a medium sized head that has fair retention for the style and some lacing. Smell is of hops, some lemon grass, some hay. Taste of sharp hops up front with some dry biscuits, and a bit of tart lemon. Mouthfeel is lively, highly carbonated with a dry, hoppy, peppery finish. Overall, a very good summertime beer, crisp and refreshing.

Bottle - Crisp and dry flavor that lingers on the palate for a while. No bitterness to this beer and only a slight malt sweetness. A floral taste to it.
