dlihcsnatas (35), Texas, USA May 7, 2008 Strong hop aroma when first opened. Strong hop flavors kind of makes me think of the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale but using lager yeast rather than ale yeast. Very smooth drinking with a nice spicey hop aftertaste. Really like the beer but it tastes and feels more like a spring brew than a summer one.
chimp_lechamp (338), glasgow, Scotland Jul 25, 2008 bottle from oddies- pours golden yellow, crystal clear, no head disapeared quite fast. nose is musty citrus peel, marmite, and peaches. taste is hoppy bitter lemon rind. soap. mouthfeel is slippery. quite refreshing. and nce. Tejas (581), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 25, 2008 Ehhh, one and done here. Doesn’t seem to have a good crisp spicy bite that I look for in lagers. Sort of odd tasting too. Can’t put my finger on it though. moelikebeer (93), New Brighton, Minnesota, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden pour with no head. Flavor of sweet corn, hops, malt grass, and some spice. Not too bad; still, somewhat disappointing. scooter_bub (139), Lander, Wyoming, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin white head that does not last. The taste is of hops, malts and alcohol. Is pretty bitter, almost too bitter. Aroma matches the taste. Not a bad beer as it is smooth and fairly tasty, but it did not meet my expectations. BeerFanDan17 (331), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 21, 2008 Not impressed. Very skunky and yeasty. Smooth, but almost undrinkable. Sampled at the St. Pete Florida Craft Beer Fest.
