COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

Pours a straw colour, nothing very special looking, although clean.
Aromas are that of a lager, but with some light strike and oxidation - this bottle is old, I think :(
Flavours carry much of that age, not going down too well. Sweet, grainy, very little hop and too much off flavour. It might be better fresh, but still not great I don’t think!

Bottle into a pilsener glass. Pours a watery pale yellow with a small white head that disappears quickly. No appreciable nose, and a very watery flavor. Yuck.

12 oz off bottle purchased as part of a beers of summer 9 pack at the World Market in Kansas City, Missouri. PKGD 03/30/16 stamped on back label. The pour is a clear golden with a lasting one inch frothy white head and a bunch of very fine carbonation bubbles rising to the surface. The aroma is fresh hay, herbal Saaz hops and natural cracker grain. Clean nose. The taste is a nice blend of the cracker, hay malt grain and the bright Saaz floral herbal hops. Crisp flavor. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and grain mineral finish. Easy drinking, tasty.

Aroma is clean crisp spicy noble hops with mild sweet malt. Appearance is crystal clear golden with medium frothy white head. Taste is aroma and bittering hop forward. Fresh and spicy noble hop aromas with a clean sharp bitterness followed by light smooth malt. Hint of tart lemon lingers. Palate is crisp and refreshing. Overall an excellent Pils. Could use a more PIlsener malt flavor and depth but the hopping is very nice. An great Pils at a very nice price.

Draft. Clear golden with white head. Aroma is citrus, grass, light fruitiness and light crisp malts. Taste is similar but with more emphasis on fruity and grassy botes, lighter citrus and a slight sweet malty touch in the finish. Crisp medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation and light fruity and citrus aftertaste.

colui72 (615) - HONG KONG - JUN 11, 2016
Clear golden with a large creamy head. Almost no aroma, like commercial lagers. Not in the palate, crisp and refreshing, bitter and malty. Nothing else. Just a regular slightly better than a macro lager.

Bottle. Clear yellow with large foamy white head, almost no aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter malty taste, thin body, abrupt finish with malt aftertaste. Nice but not a great Pilsner.

Light clear straw pour with little head and no lacing. Light lager skunkiness on nose with a little sweet grain. Taste is slight lemon and cracker, mild sweetness. Mouthfeel is nicely medium bodied but the dry finish keeps it refreshing and light. Not showy, but very balanced and perfect as a summer refresher on the patio.

I liked it. Poured a slightly hazy gold, tiny retaining circle of bubbles. Smell of bittersweet hops, nice crisp grass and citrus. Taste is balanced, with small lingering aftertaste. A decent enough beer

tfontana (607) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 3, 2016
Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joe’s. Aroma is light cracker, yeast, mild herbs. Appearance is clear golden yellow with zero sparkle and three-finger-width fizzy white head with decent retention and little lacing. Taste is as aroma. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and average-to-soft carbonation with malt/yeast finish. Overall, this is clean and refreshing and a bit meatier than a macro lager but that’s about it. Nothing special to see...move along.

Shot (411) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - MAY 28, 2016
Bottle. Pours straw color with a ton head that dissipates to a thin lace. Aromas of grass and slight skunkiness. Flavors of sweet malt, corn, dry grass, lemon and bread. Mild hoppiness. Clean, crisp mouthfeel. Slightly sweet. Not terribly interesting.
