Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than our ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat.

This beer is outside of my palate range but for those that like a pilsner-like lager, this one will be greatly liked (smells great when pouring a beautiful bright yellowish-gold with a very narrow head); Definitely on the mostly side, with a medium to moderate body, those disposed to liking more bitter beers will enjoy how the hops are infused into this one. Not the most bitter in the world, but definitely stepping in that direction. Taste hangs in the mouth.

Bottle. Light, flavorful, and refreshing. A very good beer without an overload of hops. Really enjoyed this.

Bottle. Pale golden, clear. Clean ’lager’ pale maltyness, subtle citrus, grassy notes. Soft body, smooth, nice mouthfeel. Pale malts, bit of green citrus. Refreshing, well made tasty traditional lager.

Transfer from BA review on 8-21-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Poured a light golden color with a two finger white head. The head fades rather fast to leave a moderate level of lacing. Smell – The aroma was of a light b ready malt mixed with notes of lemon and pine hop aromas. Light, but quite refreshing. Taste – The taste was overall much hopper then I would have originally expected. It began with a malt base with some light notes of a caramel nature. A citrus hop flavor was present up front. While mainly lemon in taste it did have some grapefruit mixed with in as well. Soon some pine hop flavors come to the taste with the lemon hop tastes also being accentuated by a lemon peel taste. These flavors take the taste to the end. Overall it has a crisp flavor with some nice hoppy notes. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was of average thickness with a carbonation level that is rather average. Both made it very drinkable, but yet did not take away from the maltier and hoppier flavors. Overall – A great session beer on a warmer day. It has a nice lighter-yet pronounced enough hop flavor to make for a crisp, refreshing, flavorful beer.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cereal, lemon and Rich Tea biscuits. Flavour of grain and light citrus. Thin body with a light, oily mouthfeel. Simple, nice.

Pours yellow with a frothy head. Malt and wheat with spice and flower taste and aroma. Some bitter but not too much to be refreshing. Not as crisp as other lagers.
