Commercial Description:
Sierra Nevada's newest seasonal draft, named after the torpedo-shaped hopback employed in its making, is a 6.8% IPA made with Chinook, Cascade and Centennial hops. Editor's note: Torpedo Ale began in 2007 as a variation of SN Celebration so ratings from '07 should go there. By spring of '08, the company had decided to make Torpedo its own brew entirely so ratings from that point should go here.

I just enjoyed this beer on tap at hollingshead. Extremely delicious! Yet, Pliny the Younger from Russian River is extra-ordinary...

On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 4th July 2008. Clear amber with a persistent magnolia head. Lovely aroma and flavour - just a great balance of malt and hops, backed up by a firm palate. Full-flavoured and very drinkable.

Draft. Pours a bright copper color with active carbonation and an ivory head. Grapefruit and Grassy hop aroma. Fruity. Hop forward flavor; grapefruit, straw, strawberries and caramel notes. Bitter finish.

Draught sample. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of resin, some dry malt, touches of earth and tea. Tastes resiny and mildly bitter with a nice dry malty finish. I was surprised to see this on draught in a random bar in CT!

draft- yummy resin, pine goodness. Flowery hop explosion with substantial bitterness in tow. A very well done ipa that I am really looking forward to getting many more growlers of.
