| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 8, 2010 12 oz bottle pours murky copper with a well retaining khaki head into a tulip. Resiny, piney hops dominate the aroma, light bready malts, grapefruit, lemon. Again, quite a resiny/piney hop flavor profile. Slight caramelized sugar taste with grapefruit, balanced by bready malts. Slick mouthfeel with medium body and a medium level of carbonation. Very refreshing and well balanced IPA and my favorite of Sierra Nevada’s main line. Glad to have several IPAs recently that actually stand out a bit. All the hop juice was starting to blend together. Croff (88), Trelleborg, Sweden
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2010 Pours a cloudy orange amber. Nice fluffy long lasting head that slowly fades to lace. Grapefruit hops and caramel aroma. Medium carbonation. Grass citrus flavor. A bit creamy on the tongue then a bite. Citrus pine woody dry finish with a oily feel on the lips. Noticeable alcohol throughout. It is a good brew, but certainly nothing special. I doubt if I would have another. degbert (73), Bee Caves, Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2010 From a bottle. Poured with an amazing, moussy head that just will NOT go away, and leaves scattered lace on the glass. Color is a deep, rich gold-amber. Aroma is intense citrus with something faintly floral -- lilac or peony. Flavor is surprisingly balanced for something this intensely hoppy; I can still taste the toast of the malt through the drying bitterness. Great beer. EKGoldings (449), Radford, Virginia, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Feb 7, 2010 Bottle. This is an excellent lighter style IPA .. well, lighter compared to some of the competition, DIPA excepted of course. I really like the balance between sweet malt, bitterness and aroma. Think SNPA’s big brother. Very tasty, I’ll be getting more. jazz88 (2271), San Francisco, California, USA

A nice citrus and sweet hop aroma. Smooth and creamy with a dry bitter hop finish. Mildly grassy. Chalsk (63), North Caldwell, New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 5, 2010 Hoppy, grapefruit aroma. Pours an amber-red haze. The beer is lively. Thin head with some lacing. Creamy malty up front and then bitter and sweet on the back end. The malt and hops are well balanced. The bitters linger a bit. A very good IPA, but have had a few better - 90 Minute and Victory Hopdevil off the top of my head. redlight (1562), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2010 Piney citrus hops on the nose with a grassy earthiness. Pours a pale amber with a thin white head. Very nice hop forward ipa, citrus notes with pine resin with a solid malt backbone. Refreshing IPA after a long night of work! portableparty (27), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
