3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. The aroma was IPA like though not very strong. The pour was a pleasing clear copperish red with a tiny head that didn’t hang around long. The flavor was malty and hoppy and a step up from other IPA’s of this caliber. It had good mouth feel and a little kick and overall was very pleasing. I like it.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz Bottle. Aroma gives off a strong, dank cascade-like hop flower resin glow. Pungent and delightful. Pours a coppery orange with a soft, pillowy off-white head. Flavor is candy-like. This edges dangerously barleywine. More like an American strong ale. There’s a lot of sweet papaya and caramel sugars in there that are as forward as the hop cones and resin notes. Floral and fruity, but I want more bitterness and more hop play, I think. A little too sweet and not quite as crisp and snappy as I would want from the style. There characters are there, but the balance is a little amok. Otherwise, nice.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a reddish copper color with a smal white head. Aroma is citrus hops, taste is lots of grapefruit with some earthiness and caramel for balance. Solid bite in the back of the throat. Enjoyable and drinkable with a smooth mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours deep copper with a bubbly beige head. Fairly strong aroma of pine resin, with some grassy and floral notes in there, as well as some biscuit almost oatmeal like characteristics. Flavor is right on with the aroma. Nice piny/herbaceous hops upfront along with doughy and slightly sweet malts. Palate is creamy but the carbonation is a bit sharp. Pretty solid brew from Sierra,

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle, pours with a sizeable, off-white head that dissipates quickly. Nice, light copper color. Extremely smooth, IPA, with a creamy mouthfeel. Great hop flavor, pine, grapefruit, some nuttiness, clean finish. This is a very good beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled as part of a six pack. Finally a new fresh brew from Sierra Nevada that I thoroughly enjoyed. The hoppiness is consistent with their pale ale and the crispness of the malts are nearly perfect. A really enjoyable brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours clear orange gold with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma is of citrus hops with a mild sweet pale malt and minerals. Flavor is strong in grapefruit hops, though not particularly bitter, with bits of honey and biscuit. A nice, straightforward IPA putting the citrus hops up front.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice big hop characteristic, pungent, piny, candy sugar, fruity, and actually really nice. Appearance is amber with really nice lacing and a thick viscous head that lingers. Taste has got a really nice and balanced hop flavor. It has a nice tart hoppy finish. Overall, pretty nice stuff all around. It’s not a Two Hearted, but it would be a really nice substitute.

Once again, thank you Joe McPhee for the bottle. Amber colour. Thin white head. Good lace on glass. Sweet aroma of berries and hops. Well balanced texture with the syrup like notes and bitterness. Grapefruit and well hopped finish. Great stuff.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Actually my favorite from Sierra Nevada. Strong hop character, and large body, plus it looks like a real IPA. Not overly bitter or alcoholic, a session IPA.
