COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

12 oz bottle from Princeton’s. Orange pour with a decent head. Slightly hoppy aroma with a bit of pine coming through. Flavor is on the bitter side as is the finish. Decent beer but the bitter comes through a bit too much for me more than the flavor.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Deep, clear amber with thin beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, with floral and piney hops. Taste is pine hops and sweet malt, nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is quite crisp and medium bodied, good carbonation. Very easy to drink and smooth IPA!

Amber in color with a white head and initial lacing. There seems to be a slight haze to the beer. Decent hop aroma with not much on the floral note side. Medium body with the scale tilted to the bitter side. The balance could use some attention and the finish is shorter than I expected. Not the beer I was looking for with this "extra IPA".

Bottle. Nice head with excellent duration. Color is clear amber. Visually very lively with lots of carbonation. Aroma and taste are rich with hops and flowers and has a very nice long bitter finish. Some caramel notes. Could use a little more sweetness to compliment the hops.

Very nice color when poured. It has a great alc balance when you breath the beer after you drink it. Love the bitter hops on the palate. The aromas and flavor have a citrus note. The body is smooth and complete. The smoothness is better than the Regular SN Pale Ale.

Bottle. Pours deep amber in color, with a dingy white head. Very floral aroma, pine notes, citrus, herbal notes. Flavor is dominated by citrusy, bitter hops which are accompanied by sweet honey malts. Very interesting balance. The flavor is somewhat floral. The beer has a strong medium body, and a biting snappy finish.

Pours a golden amber color with a thick orange-tinted head. Hops-dominated aroma of pine, tangerine, and melon. Flavor is fruity (orange and grapefruit) and bitter, but is balanced by a touch of caramel sweetness. Finish is dry and bitter, but the bitterness is moderate, and is not overly aggressive - and I mean that in a good way. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Very nice IPA - I really enjoyed this. Poured a dark orange color with a small, thin beige head. Smells of pine, citrus, and grapefruit. Tastes of citrus and pine, along with a woody taste. Followed up with a nice bitter kick towards the end. Very nice IPA.

poured semi dark clear gold and made a two finger thick frothy white head. the body is the color of a white zinfandel wine and is clear with slight small bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. there is decent thin lacing around the glass. it smells of white wine grapes, tangerines, and pine sol. it is medium bodied with a nice bitter aftertaste taste at the tip of the tongue and has moderate carbonation across the palate. the palatabilty is pretty nice for an ipa and people who are not used to this style would probally enjoy this beer.

Gusgus (233) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2009
Bottle. Golden to pale orange color with medium sized white head and good lacing. Not at all as hoppy aroma as I expected. The aromas are very smooth, flowery, fruity and herbal. Lemon verbena, grassy, a hint of tobacco and bitter oranges. Sweet toasted and biscuity malt background. Medium body with a clean bitterness balances up the alcohol and malt perfectly and ends in a crisp and dry finish. Finally a grassy, nutty and herbal hop bite that begs for another sip. Net really as big and assertive as I was expecting, but instead seducingly beautifully balanced and refreshing. Not a single technical fault in this beer whatsoever.
