Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Short 12oz bottle. Pours clear, copper color. Tall tan foamy head. Very big hop florals, pine and citrus. Deep earth scent. Some caramel malt sweetness, mostly hop kn the nose. Very smooth and well balanced. Sharp hop bite, followed up by a medicinal herbal character. Light malt sweetness is hidden under the bountiful hop bitterness. Very pleasant. Finishes with a nice pine bite. yum

Hops on the piney side of citrus with some caramel. Clear dark amber with thick lasting barely-off-white head. Good mouthfeel. Flavor more subdued than the aroma, more citrus, not much grain backing

Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy pine needles aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter flavor with some pine needles and citrus hints. Hoppy bitter finish with a long bitter aftertaste. Nice beer very drinkable!

Pours a clear golden amber with a thick tan head... Citrusy aroma with a few notes of tropical fruits... Overly sweet and sticky initial taste with big notes of grapefruit and tropical fruits behind it then more malts to finish... Mouthfeel is quite nice, drinks like a 6% beer would... Not as dry as i would expect... Good, i would just expect a bit more dry and less sweet beer, but good nevertheless...

I picked up a six the other day at northcoast beverage. Aroma was slightly piney, with hints of noble hops, Poured a light copper color with minimal head retention. Flavor was lacking in the aroma and flavor of the hops, more of a european ipa. Overall was a lame rendition of an extra ipa.

12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish-brown color with a tiny white-ish head that dissipates quickly. Smells of grapefruit (or something similarly citrus), malt, and lots of hops. Tastes of citrus (now I don’t think it was grapefruit), little bit of malt, but surprisingly few hops. I was expecting much more. Pretty smooth aftertaste, but nothing special. Not bad, but nothing special.

Pours a clear copper color with a nice, lacing head. Grapefruit and citrusy aroma, as well as a lottt of hops. Very chewy. Thick hops. Grapefruit. Very potent IPA. From Sierra Nevada, easily the hoppiest beer they’ve brewed.

Coppery pour with a tons of thick foam. Aroma is a huge amount of citrusy hops. Flavor is very bitter with the citrus-like hops overpowering any malt flavors. Perfectly carbonated. Creamy mouthfeel. Finishes dry. Could use some more sweetness or complexity, but all in all this is a great hoppy IPA.

Bottle and served in my GI IPA tulip: Clean deep golden hue with a lasting frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of pine needles, mint, grapefruit, biscuit, herbs, and dusty yeast esters. Rather well balance flavor profile with hop bitterness and malt sweetness playing well. Juicy fruit overtones before a minerally finish. Missing some hop spice aka pepper that would help overall methinks. The mouth feel is actually quite reserved considering the style. Not bad with no flaws but more an entry level IIPA (hence why I guess it is listed as an IPA here despite the 7.2% ABV)
