Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Pours a clear penny colored copper with a nice tight head. Resinous hop aroma, but easy on the bitterness in the flavor. Very nice IPA

This is a perfect example of an excellent straightforward IPA. Pours dark and murky for the style with almost no head. Smells citrusy and dry, just how I like it. Taste is EXTREMELY dry, with a sharp lingering aftertaste. This shit is all business. Among what I consider the "mid-grade" IPAs this is one of the very best.

Bottle, #495. Had while camping with no pint glass, so donít know on appearance. Piney hop aroma and flavor. Great lasting resinous aftertaste. Pretty good IPA.

(Bottle from Louís Beverage Barn) Pours bright amber, maybe a hint of haze. Three fingers or so of slightly lumpy light yellow-biege head that slowly recede to a foamy cap. Aroma of piney hops with a touch of sweet caramel candy underneath. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, pretty thick for an IPA. Lots of thick droopy broken lacing. Flavor is hop-forward, fairly heavy notes of pine. Medium-heavy bitterness overlays a nice caramel malty base. Lingering piney aftertaste. Pretty solid.

12 fl oz bottle from Lubiere (merci!), served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Hazy deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma: A nice blend of pine, resin and grapefruit C-hops with a good malt backbone, some dark dried fruitiness, lightly peppery, spicy and earthy. Palate: Medium+ body, lively and sharp carbonation. Flav.: The malts dominate, in contrast to the nose, but there is still a nice shot of pine, resin, grassy, peppery hops, some floral and citrus notes, lightly earthy and nutty; off-dry with nice bitterness and a pleasant mineral malt finish.

A really tasty, American-style IPA. Thanks again Luc!

12 oz bottle purchased as a single at Olive or Twist in Platte City, Missouri. Pour is mostly clear golden orange with a frothy three inch off white head. Head is very slow to fall, when it eventually does, nice lacing left behind. Aroma of spicy floral hops, resin and some citrus. Also a nice caramel toasty malt present. Nice nose, though not overly expressive. Taste is resin bitter hops, some orange peel, and the toasty malt from the nose. Pretty straight forward IPA, nice and clean. Palate is medium to thin body - drinkable, moderate carbonation and a long mineral bitter finish. This one may not have been terribly fresh, but still enjoyable.

Pours golden amber with white head. Aroma is strongly hoppy with a creamy character. Flavor is a mix of malt and hops with a tendency toward bitterness. Starts with a sweet taste, middle is of floral hops, and finish is of bitter hops and grapefruit. Palate is moderately creamy. Pretty tasty but less complex than the Southern Hemisphere Harvest.

12 oz. bottle pours a ruby-amber color with frothy off-white head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma is of strong hops with a creamy malty-ness. Flavor is mildly malty on the front palate with a hoppy middle and hoppier finish and even hoppier, bitter as hell aftertaste. Maybe itís my jacked-up tastebuds, but I canít taste much of anything other than hops in this beer with the slight possibility of bitter grapefruit in the aftertaste. I was hoping for more different types of flavors in the palate because the aroma was nice and creamy, but I was rather disappointed. Iím chalking it up to the liklihood that my palate is inexperienced and Iím not ready for an Extra IPA of this nature.

Nice bold IPA but not highly distinct , somewhere between Anniversary and regular SN. Mostly dry hops but some balance
