4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Clear, with no obvious bottle conditioning. Deep amber, with minimal head. Excellent hop aroma, with pine and lemon predominate. Medium-light body, with a strong, resinous hop flavor. Not quite heavy enough for and IIPA, I guess that’s why its an EIPA.

Oh man. 666 ratings before I clicked on this. I am a fan of Sierra Nevada. It’s one of those brews that aren’t mind blowing, but always show up nestled in the dusty corner, pushed conveniently out of the way by the jock-brew classics; Bud, Bud Light, Coors, and Corona. Sierra Nevada is just a solid brew and occasionally a "night" saver. I picked this up at Target of all places. Cool eh? A new Sierra Nevada to try. Well I popped it open and poured it into a nice pub glass. Pours like the other brews, though a bit more thin. First few "Bites" are straight bitter. I was worried actually for I felt I might have just got another on-market bitter banger. Luckily, as is the case with ol’ Sierra Nevada, this one opens up well. Not AS defined as say the Two Hearted Ale, this still carries exceptionally well. Bitter, roasted ends topped with Northern California Pine. Mountain air, east side of the mountain...nice and dry, and very crisp. Slightly chewy and as it warms up, caramel and cascades pop in and out. Some floral notes on the back-end roll into a superb grapefruit aftertaste.

Very nice copper pour with a slightly off white head that stays very nicely. The smell is incredible of hops, very piney. Taste is very hoppy but in the perfect combination with malts and spice. Would definitely buy again.

Copper color with a nice persistant head. Floral nose promises a very hoppy flavor. Taste is very hoppy with strong notes of wood and pine with a hint of citrus and a slight tartness. Woody, hoppy finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a copper red color with a decent white head. Nose and flavor flavor were primarily of piney hops, with some malt thrown in the mix; it’s decent, but not very complex at all. If you like pine flavoring, go for it, but don’t expect much else. I’m a big Sierra Nevada fan but I actually like almost all of their other brews better.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Great citrusy and pine hop aroma with caramel. Slightly hazy copper with a huge frothy off-white head. Great retention and above average lacing. Flavor is also very hoppy mostly with citrus and wine. Also a solid caramel malt base. Medium to full body. A very good IPA for lupomaniacs.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From bottle. Juicy pear and apricot nectars, fresh hoppy aroma with light sweet malt. Dark orange-amber clear with foamy off-white lacing head. Medium bodied with medium carbonation and light fizzy burn. Starts lightly sweet with some caramel and malty character. Turns into a good amount of bitterness with some tea-like taste, though not astringent. Fruity tastes, but muted. Sweet on the side of the tongue with light acidity and a good amount of bitter finish. Bitter chalky after.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice orange-amber beer with decent hop haze and a frothy off-white head that does dissipate rather quickly. Aroma is piney and grassy hops. Flavor is hops, somewhat fruitier, a bit citrusy (lemon and grapefruit, there’s a tartness there that goes well with the bitterness), and finishes dry and bitter as hell. It’s like a DIPA without quite as much alcohol. More hoppy than their celebration ale. Not much malt to speak of, but if you like hops you’ll like this beer.
