Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2009 I donít...itís a Sierra Nevada so...sure their beer is usually pretty decent but...yum. The best beer for the price on the market. Beautiful pillowy white head, well balanced flavor erring on the side of bitter. Considering the source (and I say this as a Sierra Nevada fan) itís excellent.

Nice clear amber with decent white head. Full mouthfeel, not too carbonated. Nice resiny, herby hop aroma. Good hope bite full of a variety of hop sensations on the middle of the tongue, finishes with a great, resiny, herby grassy hop bitterness. Great, wouldnít expect anything less from Sierra Nevada

Big time aroma of piney hops and citrus. Left a nice lacing and had a perfect orangish color. Good tastes of citrus hops, and it went down very smooth. A very good IPA. LC

Bottled. Tawny, amber pour with a nice off-white head. Floral and citrus nose. Flavor is citrus with a hint of resin. A nicely bitter finish without being astringent. Well balanced.

Burnt orange coloured ale, with totally gorgeous creamy thick creme coloured head. Hoppy aroma of course, but not "in your face"softer, like spruce tips. Very spicy hop taste to it, very livelly and carbonated well ( not to muchj. Great hoppy after taste comes back up to say "hello" now and again! Very nice IPA. Not at all balanced!

pretty beer. jem like & lots of lace. warm hop nose. soft pine. not bright. Tastes like an IPA but softer. I get maple and strawberry. Bitterness doesnt come on till very late and its not too salty. love the balance. very lively mouthfeel.

Good stuff. Has a nice thick head and just reeks of hops and weeds. Smells as fresh of hops as Iíve even smelled. Taste is just full of hops. Smooth and not too carbonated. A wonderful experience. Great job! This has to be one of the better IPAís Iíve had

Bottle via trade from BVC. Pours copper with a soapy head. Nose is a bit skunky and resiny, as well as a touch sweet. On taste, itís pretty aggressive and somewhat astringent, lots of malts in the background, some paper. A bit spicy and skunky on the taste. An awful lot like the normal IPA. Not sure that I care too much for it. Itís okay.

Aroma was straight up pine cone. I was hopeful that this would be all about the grapefruit, but it wasnít quite that way. Amber in color, sweet mouthglazing malt backbone. Sampled at LA Craft Beer Fest.
