Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Bottle / Marks & Spencer / Greenwich / 3 for £5. Sweat resin, malt and citrus hop aroma. Medium bitterness that grows more intense with every sip. Nice sweet finish with a little alcohol. A textbook American IPA

Second favourite IPA (at the moment) after Feral’s HOP HOG. Well worth buying and keeping on hand regularly. BIG flavour, so be prepared. Surprisingly well balanced for a 7.2% abv - no burn at all.

Ambree cuivree, forte effervescence, fine mousse blanche tres persistente. Nez d’ecorce d’orange, de gateau, de pamplemousse. Attaque moyennement amere, laissant rapidement place a des ecorces d’oranges confites et du pamplemousse. Bouche tres longue, carbo excellente, corps cremeux. une ipa excellente.

Dark orange color, cloudy; thin white head - Aroma: Tropical fruits, especially pineapple, hints of mango, also citrus fruits (grapefruit, orange), malt, biscuits, hints of caramel - taste: very light sweetness at first sip, strong bitterness afterwards - full body, fresh and, supported by the bitterness, rather crisp and aggressive texture, average so high carbonation.

355ml bottle pours a lovely clear amber with decent, lasting off white head. Aroma of tropical fruits and bit of pine. Decent malt backup on taste and tropical flavours give way to citrus and then bitter pine on finish. Medium body and carbonation. Very drying and bitter finish.

Pint can into glass. Floral hop nose. Golden bronze beer with solid white head. A few bubbles. Sharp bitterness in the mouth, a bit zingy. Finish is aspirin bitter. Great example of American style.

Bottle. Sensoric glass. Deep amber with medium, densed, white head. Good head retention, little worse lacing. Nice light tropical fruits, citrus and floral aroma, combined with crackery and toasty malty notes. Taste is medium bitter, after fews sips it becomes more intense esp. in the end. Medium body, medium carbonation, creamy texture, finish is dry and bitter. In overall quite normal, solid IPA.

355ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear copper, many small bubbles in the glass, thick fluffy off-white head. Sweet and bitter aroma, caramel, pineapple, citrus. Medium body. Hoppy taste, nice balance between citrus flavors and bitterness from the hops. Grapefruit, citrus peel and bread. Quite big bitter bite in the finish and warming alcohol.
