COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

L: a nice clear darkish amber with an off-white head and plenty of lacing. S: I’m not getting any distinct smell, more a flattened mix of pine and citrus. A tad musty. T: more malty than I’d expected, some dark fruits mixed with citrus somehow, hoppy bitterness at the end. Very complex, some amber or barleywine characteristics which are welcome. F: has a refreshing yet satisfyingly sweet and malty character. Not sure whether to neck or sip! Dry at the end, I like the flavours but would love them to whack my palate a bit more. O: I applaud this for surprising me. Not just another IPA, it takes some interesting turns. Would love another.

Intense hoppy aftertaste, palate a little frothy, slightly oily. A sharp and dry drink, immediately bitter.

0.33 l bottle from Alko. Amber colour, nice head. Quite bitter taste with citrus like aftertaste all this from hops. Hides nicely the hefty amount of alcohol. Goes well with salty fish, herring, for example.

Bottle. Orange-brown in color and clear with a full, white, frothy and longlasting head. The aroma is hoppy with citrus, grapefruit as well pine as herbs and pine and malty sweetness with notes of plum and resin. Very complex but well balanced. Same is true of the taste which turns from a welcoming sweetness into a nice bitter finish. The medium to thick is body fits the beer perfectly. Some alcoholic warmth joins in in the end. It lease a short but very pleasant bitter fruity finish. Neither brutally bitter nor abundantly fruity but well balanced, harmonic and complex in its composition. Recommended.
