Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber colour with thin, but lasting white head. Aromas of bready malt plus herbal and citrusy orange, grapefruit and pine. Tastes of bready malt and balanced with citrusy grapefruit and orange. Medium bodied with long dry hoppy finish. Nice, surprisingly easy drinking IPA.

Bottle into shaker, thin head, nice gold/amber. Some sediment, smells very fruity and floral. Nicely sweetened, fruity, itís got that umami taste. Very effervescent, good carbonation, well rounded flavors. Quite impressed, one of my new favorites.

355mL bottle from Beer Cartel BB 25/09/15 Pours a deep golden body, rocky white head persists. Decidedly fruit hop aroma; gear towards melon, stonefruit & dried leafy herbs, as opposed to the citrus & pine aromas typical of the style. Good measure of biscuit & light caramel malt. Full body, moderate carbonation, nice oily, slick texture. A smooth ride on the body; biscuit, toast, pale caramel, leafy hops, bit of extra woody spice comes through, melon, touch of citrus but not dominant. Drying, lingering bitterness, aggressive yet well balanced. Sets a good benchmark for the style, less assertive as some yet still very full flavoured and enjoyable.

There was no smoke with this beer. The beer pours a clear copper with a thick two finger head. The aroma is piney, citrus, dark hops, yeast, and maybe clove. The taste is similar. There is strong hops and bitterness and you definitely pick up the pine. There is also a breadiness in the aftertaste.

This is the gold standard. The real McCoy if you will. I buy this at my local beer store for $7.99 a six pack and three of them will do you just right. I can say that there is no better buzz than having come back from a long bicycle ride then having 3 of these puppies. Oh, wait, if I have 3 of these beers then go to Chipotle, that;s a good day. If you donít like the taste of this IPA, then you might just not be a hophead. Thatís okay, put it back and get yourself a flavored wheat beer or a shandy. You sissy.

Pours hazy amber with thin white head. Aroma is balanced west coast hoppy and some hint of the alcohol. Taste is balanced more on the bitter side, but the underlying malt is very present. Nice double IPA!
