Has a great aroma, dominated by grapefruit and pine with some slight caramel. The taste is not as hop dominant as I thought it would be. The pine and citrus is strong up front but is balanced out by the malts. The finish is bitter and the hops linger a little. Not a hop bomb but overall a great beer from Sierra Nevada.

Smaak is een bitterbom, vol grapefruit en wat sinaasappel. Aroma is meer zoetig, als ananas. Mooi in balans en wat complexer dan mijn beschrijving. Goed doordrinkbaar.

33cl bottle. Hazy amber color, white head. I somehow expected a more distinctive hoparoma. Citrus, grass, dark malt notes. Taste is grapefruit, malt, caramel, honey and earthy hop notes. High bitterness.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is fruity, hoppy with hints of caramel. Appearance: amber, with nice head, thin head stays for a while. Taste: pine, hints of sweet caramel in the middle, some grapefruit, hints of citrus. Bitternes gets more intense in grapefruit bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Considering the ABV (7,2), it’s surprising that alcohol isn’t noticable at all. Overall: not the best IPA, but still great one.

Bottle 33 cl. Hazy golden, bit reddish, smooth creamy lacing head. Taste at first is pretty much pines not too overbearing tho has a nice smooth sweet and bitter hop like character in it. Notes of pines, citrus, hay, floral, bread. The blending mix of bitter and sweet works pretty well in this one making it a smooth easy drinkable brew. Maybe just a bit too much bitterness for my taste.

Lidt smør, lidt cara, humle. Columbus?
Helt klar og kobberfarvet.
Smag af cara og meget bitter. Kun bitter og cara malt. Hænger længe.

Bottle. Aroma has orange and hops.
Taste has pine and citrus. Turns sour on the middle and finishes with a bitter long aftertaste. Alcohol comes through a bit, but remains in check. Quite good overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear amber body with a medium offwhite head. Hops, lots of pine, fruit, some caramel, light malty. More hops in the flavour then the aroma. Creamy texture, very bitter finish. Nice.

First time rating so please don’t beat me up too bad :) Aroma is just perfect. All those hops just waft right into the olfactory senses and let you know what you’re about to experience. Mine detect lots of fresh hops, citrus notes, and even honey. Great amber appearance with few bubbles which allows me to see the light sediment. The head was minimal but nice and lace remains throughout. The taste is what I wanted: bitterness without being sour. The body is medium, with creamy texture, and a bitter finish without making me thirsty for more right away. Overall this standout beer is just what I want when my taste buds are craving a hoppy IPA.
