COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

it pours a clear reddish amber body with an off white head with medium retention.the aromas are hoppy, citrus and alcohol.the taste is hoppy and bitter as hell and some swwet notes that are not much stated.the complexity is medium.the aftertaste is long and mostly bitter with a warm feeling.A nice beer.

Heavily hopped, but well balanced. Citrus aroma. Drinkable and refreshing considering the high alcohol content and sharp taste.

Tastes a whole lot like a DIPA, but with lower alcohol. Good head that leaves pretty white lacing.

Bottle @home, on Christmas Eve. Pours clear amber with thick, creamy, lasting off-white head, medium body, oily texture. Very good lacing. Citrus, orange, grapefruit, pine on the nose. Caramel and bread malts, heavy hop presence. Strong bitter dry finish with hints of malty sweetness. Very refreshing, tasty and drinkable. Interesting IPA.

Huge foamy off-white head. Clear amber. Floral malty aroma. Strong hops, malty, grainy, very bitter.

A citrus mix hop profile with a ready malt and just a touch of alcohol noticeable. Pretty solid offering from Sierra Nevada, but the offerings by Firestone and Ballast Point outshine this.

Good one here. Nice caramel, bread base with a decent bitter hop finish with pine and tropical fruit. Very drinkable.

Canned 10/28/15, so less than 60 days on it. Pours very dark honey color, white creamy head. Aroma is light malty lager aroma at first. Resin, pine, and then citrus, orange, lemon. But it’s mostly a piney ipa. Flavor is sweet malty, then citrus and pine. Piney hop bitterness in the finish but very mild. Not a particularly bitter ipa at all. Not what I expected. Very mild and drinkable but not what I expected for my first time (surprisingly) having Torpedo.

Thanks Nick for mentioning this one - purchased a can from Beer Gonzo. Amber coloured, not quite clear, with lots of white head. Smooth body and good carb. When cold, little aroma but refreshing with plenty of grapefruit and orange peel. As it warms there is more bread on the nose, the taste gets maltier and more like marmalade, and the finish changes from slightly harsh to a rounded bitterness.
