COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

The hops don’t strike the palate like the ipas I drink from time to time, but the good solid taste of hop flavors persists. The pine is there, but it is less citrusy Has a good aroma and the malts are accented by the hops. I do like this brew and will buy more in the future.

Pours yellow gold from 12 oz with thick creamy head. Floral and light citrus aroma. Hoppy, resinous taste with edgy though short lived bitter finish. Medium full bodied. Nice ipa overall, smooth and drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500cl can poured into a Struise glass. Hazy orange with a short-lived (slightly) off white head. Aroma floral hops and bit of sweetness. Taste is juicy hops with a slightly thinner mouthfeel than typical of the style and generally a little underwhelming. I have since tried this on tap and found things to be slightly better. This is a good solid IPA but I have tried better at the same price point.

This is a stand-out IPA. I wonder how much it has changed over the years, if at all, to compete with the newer crazy hopped IPAs coming on the market these days. Just a solid IPA.

Bottle (12oz $1.40): Clear copper with white head. Not much aroma. Body is medium plus, thicker than I expected. Taste sweetness and bitterness. Grapefriut and pine.

12oz bottle poured into an IPA glass. The initial aroma is a bright evergreen forest that quickly ducks to a bright grapefruit and pine with a hint of fresh baked, crusty bread sneaking in underneath. Near the end there’s a warm, sweet honey and caramel note that starts to dominate. It pours a brilliant, shimmering orange with effervescence, and just a slight haze. The head is a dense soap / gelatin texture with an egg white hue that leaves a dense, heavy lace, and has great retention. The taste is a medium high bitter and sweet; well balanced. The texture is a slick, waxy quality with a soft fuzz and a medium full body. Flavors of juicy bittersweet citrus and waxy pine are first noted with caramel and honey pushing through as it warms. It finishes dry with a zip of pine and waxy grapefruit membrane. It’s zesty and potent, but not offensive, long, and astringent with an aftertaste that’ss clean, chalky and dry.

Can from lescar, sheffield. Rosy gold with bubbly white head. Aroma is surprisingly tame, a bit of resin, a bit of maple some citrus zest notes. Taste is well balanced, sweet and bitter and not too dry. Medium carbonation and body with a good oily mouthfeel. A strong and drinkable ipa, a very dangerous thing.
