Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2013 Quite mild aroma of hops, fruits and light malt, maybe syrup. Medium head. Taste of hops, malt, quite sweet, syrupy. Maybe a bit more kick needed, lacks something. Would have been better a bit more colder, I think.

This one is a classic. As far as widely distributed extra IPAs go, torpedo is a top notch brew, to be sure.

Copper in color with thick white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass aromas of pine grapefruit and caramel hoppy flavor that is not overwhelming and perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness and citrus an all around great ipa from a great brewery ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer has a nice hop aroma but doesn't overpower. The beer is slightly cloudy with a nice head which clings to the outside of the glass. This beer tastes amazing it's bitter and sweet at the same time and leaves your pallet ready for more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Deep amber golden color. Aroma is caramel, pine, and tropical citrus. Taste is sweet orange, guava, grapefruit, pine, caramel. Quite hop assertive, but the caramel malt really balances the bitterness well.

Bottle. Pours dark gold with a huge long lasting foam head. Very mild hops that slightly builds with most of the hop flavor in your month long after swallowing. A deep breath in through the nose brings more hops. Very powerful and tasty.

Bottle to English pint. Pours deep amber, decent head, moderate lacing. Aroma is earthy floral and slight citrus. Taste is well balanced between sweet malts and hop bitterness. Medium body, light carbonation, resin mouth feel. Finishes moderately bitter with notes of with notes of apricot, mango and biscuit. Driest in the end. Very good IPA.
