I don't get why this beer is so highly rated. It's tastes off to me. The hop flavor does not come through at all.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slightly cloudy reddish orange color with white head that quickly settles down. Nose has loads of pine needles, resin, citrusfruits and some caramel. Taste is bitter with loads of piney and resiny flavors and a dry long finish. Carbonation is medium with very soft and small bubbles. The palate is nice, fairly rich but not too cloying. Overall excellently balanced with a very nice hoppy flavor.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 35cl. Amber and copper color with stable creamy white head. In the nose hits a strong aroma of citrus peel - behind this youíll find apricots, dried raisin and plenty of hobs. Flavor is a delightful mix of sweet malt, refreshing and crisp citrus-fruits balanced with clear, strong, yet smooth bitterness. The balances is really spot-on. Medium to full body, with sticky texture. Above carbonation and a looooong finish. Definitely worth a rebuy.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass..nice bitter,piney aroma..decent color and head..hoppy taste, not as much as Stone,Green Flash,etc..but still,pretty tasty..and for $8 a six pack..probably best value/taste around.

If you factor in the low cost of this beer (which is substantial), I have a hard time picking on it; not to mention itís very tasty. Definitely a west coast IPA, and possibly the definition of such. Needless to say, itís not the best beer in the style, but it may have the most going for it all things considered. SNís second classic IMO.

Nice deep color, hoppy aroma and taste. Starting to really enjoy these stronger IPA's. Definitely would drink again but not quite as good as SKA Hoperendia
