3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma is of hops, pine, some citrus. Flavor is not particularly strong, bready with a good amount of hops. This I.P.A is decent, but not outstanding. As far as easy-to-find NorCal I.P.As go, Torpedo is much better than Indica but not as good as Lagunitas I.P.A.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Strong citrus aroma with hoppy resin. Decently bitter hop bite with wheat malt balance. Not quite a double in terms of hops but great tasting IPA

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours clear amber liquid with stable white head. Aroma is very citrusy with some apricots and pleasant malt note. Taste is also complex - mix of smooth bitter and fruity sweet tones. Full body with sticky texture and average carbonation. Lingering dry finish. This is a very good IPA piece, nicely balanced and drinkable.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark orange amber. Large fluffy white head with tons of lace. Aroma is very malty and dense hoppy. This is so much a double IPA to me. Loaded with caramel, pine, dense citrus, grapefruit. Medium to full body. Big but smooth bitterness. Dry finish. Nice balance. This is a pretty big IPA.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Thick orange-amber coloured with a soft dark white head. Aromas of floral notes with grapefruit, mandarins and apricots. Nicely balanced. The finish shows some dryness and lingers in the background in a pleasant way. May be best IPA so far.

Wow, is this ever a good beer. Sierra Nevada really knows what they are doing in their tanks. The best American produced IPA Iíve ever had, (and they are the rage right now.) This is truly outstanding beer, and worth the hype. Marvelously complex flavor and taste profile. Excellent mouth-feel and swallow. Finishes clean with dry bitter notes, (very pleasant.) This beer goes right up to the edge but never threatens to go over. TRULY, the best IPA beer available, (and Iíve tried a bunch.) I think Iíll have another right now.
