4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Wow, is this ever a good beer. Sierra Nevada really knows what they are doing in their tanks. The best American produced IPA Iíve ever had, (and they are the rage right now.) This is truly outstanding beer, and worth the hype. Marvelously complex flavor and taste profile. Excellent mouth-feel and swallow. Finishes clean with dry bitter notes, (very pleasant.) This beer goes right up to the edge but never threatens to go over. TRULY, the best IPA beer available, (and Iíve tried a bunch.) I think Iíll have another right now.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fin orangegylden farge med lettfarget, greit skum. Spennende humlearoma, mye tropisk, men også godt maltpreg. I munnen kommer enda mer frem, med super fruktighet. Mye grapefrukt. Så godt balansert som en bitter IPA kan være, og med god lengde. Fresh!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 0.33l. Clear dark golden colour with medium, lasting, white head. Average carbonation. Aroma of citrus, pine and hops. Tastes sweet at first then bitter with hints of citrus. Strong bitter aftertaste. Overall great IPA.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours amber with a finger of head. Aroma is very fine to almost nothing at all however there are a few caramel tones evident. It's fairly medium bodied with moderate carbonation with a massive, harsh (in a good way) bitter finish!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a darker orange, clear, topped with a hefty cream colored head. Initially citrusy aroma, later develops into more pine, herbal and caramel notes. Taste starts sweet, some caramel, followed by immediate bitterness, some herbal notes present as well. Very nice, extra drinkable. Delicious.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(On cask @ barVolo, Nov 21 2014) Pours a dark amber, clear, nice big dense white cask head, tons of lace. Aroma has grapefruit peel and pith, spicy herbal hop leaf, Greek oregano. Palate sweetish pale and subtly caramel malt, orange, grapefruit peel, maybe canned peach? In the middle, herbal leafy hops, a bit floral, moderately bitter and astringent but malt sweetness persists in finish. White pepper and herbal/fresh pine hop aftertaste. Mouthfeel moderate, slick, smooth cask carb. Though the spicy "green" hop character was the standout feature of this beer. I think the cask treatment probably flatters it for me, though Iíve not had a bottle.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is a top contender. The hop nose was not pronounced but the flavor and finish was totally committed. The malt flavor was delicious and not in the least bit wimpy. This is a great IPA. Not one that the hop overwhelms the malt and tastes bitter. The malt and hop are both robust and deeply satisfying. There is residual sweetness as well so it is not one of those dry IPAs that either skimped on the malt or chose such a high attenuation yeast as that converted every glucose molecule to ethanol
