COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Had this in CA on my last visit in early May then found it in bombers at one of the many ABC stores in Waikiki, had a few each night I was there! A slightly hazy deep gold color with a beige head. Plenty of hops up front, rather predictable west coast grapefruit peel and pine tar flavors, caramel and toffee, a bit doughy, a nice solid brew from SN.

BOTTLE 355 ML from Bov. EXP. 01-JUL-15. Yes, there’s traces of hops (if you look well for it) - notes of tropical fruit, some lemon, but CA-RA-MEL is all you get. The taste is not that sweet, but still sticky, and the bitterness is able to balance things up. That’s what you get when you shop for an American IPA in Europe.

Purchased from Systembolaget. Colour is reddish brown, with a light brown head. Nose is very sweet, surprisingly malty because the hoppiness is very abundant, the slight hoppy tones are rather berrylike flavours as from rasp- or strawberries, and not at all citrus like the bottle says, though the pine is still there in some variety. Also I can feel some hints of vanilla? Not what I would have expected from an IPA! My first impression when I tasted this bottle was like drinking strawberryjuice blended with barley wine with a bitter end. The barleywine sensations coming from the malty domination I quess. At this stage I looked at the best before date of the bottle saying 01/07/15 and with this day being less than 3 months from that date I quess this bottle hasn’t aged at it’s best especially when thinking it has been imported to Sweden. I hope to find a fresher bottle in short future so I can compare! Once again to be said - hoppy beers don’t age well!

Classics sierra nevada stuff, with piney aroma, a bit of floral notes. Bitter hoppines, with citrussy fruits and resinous finish.

Pours a reddish gold. Grapefruit, pine, lemon on the nose. Sharp bitterness, hints of tangy citrus. Crisp mouthfeel. Nearly a double IPA. Pretty good.

355ml bottle at BePLUS, Xiamen. Pours golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma of pine, bittersweet finish. Nice but not exceptional.

Not fruity enough for my taste. Very pungent and spicy. Not bad. Just not my cup of tea.

Puszka 500ml z Beers of Europe, Setchey. Po co pić sesyjne, wodniste piwa kiedy można raczyć się konkretnym trunkiem jak ten, gdzie jest wygląd, smak i treść ;) W aromacie szału nie ma, ale ogólnie piwo jest wielce przyjemne.

Solid IPA. My only complaint is the alcohol taste comes through a little too objectionably and the malt is a little much.

35cl bottle. Pours a medium offwhite head; deep orange to amber colour with some haziness. Smells orange fruits, piny, but also nice maltiness coming through. Tastes malty, biscuity, orange citrus, herbs; small+ sweetness, medium to high bitterness, long hoppy finish. Average carbonation, medium bodied. Nice nose, solid brew
