3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle from Bev4less. Pours a translucent roan brown with amber highlights. The head is beige, fine and creamy with ample sticky lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength with roasted grains, cocoa and yeast. The flavor has a burnt toast roasted grain flavor followed by cocoa, bread, earth and spices. The palate was full and malty. The finish is short and dry. Overall: A very tasty brown.

Nutty is the name of the game. One of the driest beers Iíve had. A beautiful nut brown beer. Cloudy.brown. hazelnut and mocha coffee. A pungent cat-piss hop. A leafy, summery concoction.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This has to be one of my favorite brown ales. The aroma is good, not nutty or lactic. Looks great. Very smooth taste. A nice heft to it, not lactic or nutty, just well-balanced. Easily drank 4 of these last night. Great stuff.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Too much chocolate for my liking when it comes to brown ale. Aroma is pretty nondescript. Really smooth drinking though.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brown in color... Aroma is malty, with citrus and oak notes... Flavor is nuts and malts, with hints of smoke and citrus... Not as hoppy as their flagship brown, but a great beer nonetheless..

12 oz bottle. Very dark copper with a nice white fluffy head. Slightly roasty nose with no evidence of hops. Taste is malty with a bit of roastiness. OK for a brown ale which is not quite my favorite style.

Pour is chestnut brown with a tight bubbled thin skin of an off white head...smell is toasty and sweet with nuts and day old bread...taste is toasty and sweet as well with some nice smoky flavors coming in as well...thatís really the impressive part of this is the real smoke character...Iím pleased for sure with this less than boring brown ale...nice chewy mouthfeel and quick slippery finish...

12 oz bottle - Hints of roasted chocolate and caramel. Cloudy brown with an off-white head. Creamy flavor with some nice chocolate aftertaste. Overally, browns donít excite me, but this one is very nice. Iíd have a few of them.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown, great head. Green, vegetal aroma. Taste of roasted malt, reminds me of a nut brown ale. The hops are tasty and make the beer decent, almost overcoming the aroma which I donít care for.

pours perfectly... to be frank. 2 fingers fits perfectly into my pint glass. dark burnt amber color. Head clings to the side as it slowly slowly dissipates.
smells of nice roasted caramel malts... actually has a ting of lager smell on it, that distinct lager smell... from the yeast... then nothing.
well, the taste is clean, crisp... not that that is a flavor, but not much happening here for me. a bit of the roasted malts, but otherwise, this is pretty bland and boring. Easy to sit and drink a few of these as the night goes on, but would switch to it later in the night as my tastebuds are falling asleep.
