3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours brownish amber with a thin mostly receding tan head. Notes of sweet toasted malt, brown malt, toffee, light woody herbs, herbal resin. One of the better brown ales I’ve had recently.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a thinner clear dark glowing chestnut with a sticky frothy fluffy white head. Aroma has a bit of spruce hops, light chocolate, light nuttiness, and just a tiny bit of fruitiness. Flavor follows, fairly dry, some round gummy fruitiness that is distracting, bit of rich nuttiness, light hops up front, dull finish. Medium/light bodied, just a hint sticky on the finish, fluffy carbonation, thin and drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber: Aroma is roasted malts, toast, toffee, slight coffee notes, and a really grainy scent. Some grassy hops poking through as well, but mainly malt forward. Appearancfe is a clear brown with good lacing and an off white to tan head that diminishes quickly. Taste has got the malt, roasted, toasted, slight chocolate, toffee, and a definite hop characteristic that is more prevelent in the taste. Palate is medium carbonation, bitter/sweet mouthfeel, tingling on the tongue. Aftertaste of lingering roast and caramel malt. Overall, Sierra Nevada makes soem fine brews all around. This is just an xample of another one of them. Cheers!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a lovely autumn mahogany body covered by a plush, comforting, off-white head. Mellow, musty, nutty, but enjoyable bouquet that has the heavness of a wet fall air and redolent of falling leaves. Brown malt accented aroma and flavor with a certain harshness to it. Rough, burnt leaf finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a medium brown with a medium-sized head and aromas of dusty grains and a little bit of toffee. Flavor is fair enough... kind of a typical brown ale malt presence with a dusty edge to it and a little bit of leafy/earthy/nutty finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A wonderful surprise. Most Brown Ales are just brown. This one from Sierra Nevada is worth trying. The ale poured with a small bubble head and a light brown color. The nutty aroma and smooth maltiness are the hallmark of a very good Brown Ale. There is just a hint of hops that adds balance with some bittnerness. The smooth slightly floral finish is the end of good ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brown ale with a reddish hue, healthy carbonation and a light brown head that leaves behind a nice, thick frothy lacing. Hoppy malt aroma and a flavor just as hoppy with a nutty finish. The hops dosage and a hint of smoked malt gives this brown a really great autumn ale...
