COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sierra Nevada uses malt within days of roasting at the peak of its flavor to give Tumbler a gracefully smooth malt character. Two-row pale, crystal 40, chocolate and smoked malts give it a malty complexity. Challenger hops in the boil add balancing bitterness, while more Challengers and some Goldings give just enough hop flavor in the finish to balance all that malt.

Bottle, bought @ Ørsted Ølbar, Cph.
Pours a nice chestnut with a big, frothy, off-white head. Mild caramelly aroma with some hazel, a little piney hops. Lowish carbonation, fin dry and rather creamy palate. Flavour is quite elegant. Good fruity hops, resiny and grapefruit with a fine caramel malty base. Good, even if it still is a brown ale...

Lubiere (11155) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 1, 2010
A reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. A light fruity malt aroma with light herbal notes. In mouth, nutty malt with light roasted notes, like a vienna, rather mundane. Bottle at Great North Carolina Brewers Fest., August 28 2010.

350ml bottle (Black Door, Helsinki)
6 Slightly milky grain aroma, dry nutty leafiness too.
4 Reddy brown, small cream head.
7 Pleasant retronasals - quite complex, the wet sheep aspect is potent, but well integrated. Spicy, a little white peppery. Good balance.
4 Refresshing palat, carbonation quite high. Finish slightly wooly, dry bitter hops
13 Very drinkable, very well balanced. Not a brown ale really, but styles are fucked on RB generally.
