Bottle. The pour was a medium to dark brown with a large (2-3 finger) foamy light brown head that had great retention an offered up some damn good lacing which clung to the glass rather nicely.
The aroma was kind of mild of a roasted nutty malt, a resin hop and a sweet leathery yeast with notes of cocoa, toffee and roasted coffee.
The taste was robustly malty with a hint of toffee and a little nutty at first then became moderately bitter and a tad acidic with a nice coffee note and a touch of chocolate at the end with the flavor sticking around for quite a long time.
Mouthfeel was medium in body and creamy yet mildly dry in texture with a vibrant carbonation.
Overall a Brown Ale that had a lot of flavor and an almost perfect balance of bitter and sweet.

Pours deep reddish brown with a thin white head, malty aroma and smooth with subtle roasted flavours. I like it a lot and could drink a heap of it.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance is deep brown, hazy, with minimal foam cap. Aroma is toasted malt. Hop aroma is minimal to unnoticed. Taste is deep roasted malt. Very toasty and slightly nutty. Typical brown ale malt character with just enough hops to balance. Mouthfeel is light to medium, low carbonation. Finishes with a nice hop bitterness to balance the malt. Leaves a toasted malt flavor on the tongue.

My least favorite of the Sierra Nevada offerings, but still enjoyable. Paired great with a steak.

Keg @ Black Sheep, Dublin
Chestnut brown, clear, off white thin head
Aroma - not getting much at all, hint of fruity caramel
Taste of caramel malts, sweet caramel, toffee, some red berry fruits, bit boring for a Sierra Nevada beer
Palate - Medium carb, light body, bit too fizzy. Finish as main flavour, soft caramel, toffee
Overall - OK, nothing special
