COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on the classic European amber lager. It has bright reddish highlights and a pronounced bready malt aroma reminiscent of its Austrian counterparts. The flavor plays slightly toward caramel and toasted lager malt but remains balanced and drinkable with a clean finish perfect for a summer session.

Draught at 2006 Craft Lager Festival. Pours gold with a foamy white head and spotty lacing. Aroma is corn, potatoes, malt (grain, meal), yeast (sweat). Sour, bitter and tart hoppy yeast flavor, grainy malt finish. Light bodied and dry, fizzy palate.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a medium creamy offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and floral hops. The taste is toasted malts, bitter hops with herbal and spicy notes. Medium bodied. Strong carbonation. A bit too hoppy.

Pale golden pour with a tight creamy white head. The nose is fairly lean with a lightly toasted nose. Bright, fresh maltiness with a distinctly minerally/herbal hoppiness toward the finish. Really bright, fresh and clean. Easily quaffable quality. Easy to drink, well-balanced and quite tasty. There is a kiss of noble hoppiness on the finish that just comes across as a bit of light spiciness.

From bottle. Clear copper with a short head.
Red apple fruitiness in the nose with maybe some metal notes; simple malt, little aroma hops, but clean. Medium-light body, a little syrupy across the middle, growing bitterness late. Nice flavor balance, but it’s nothing to demand your attention.

355ml bottle. Pours a brilliant clear amber, slightly off white head fizzles away quickly with not much lacing. Aroma is sweet toasted grain, some spice, dried fruits, hint of apple. Flavor is caramally and biscuity, light diacetyl note but not over the top. Lower bodied and easy to crush. Lingering sweetness on the palate. Sweeter than an Austrian "Maerzen". Blows a Boston Lager out of the water. 6 pack of this please.

On tap at the Session Ale Fest at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours a light hue for a Vienna, with a off-white head. Aroma is biscuity and malty with a bit of vegital. Taste is grainy and bready with some grassy hops. Nothing special. Medium fizz.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, bread, some dough, some spicy notes, some nice grassy notes, touch of red fruit. Taste is a mix of grass, spice, yeast, bread, some doughy notes into some toast, slight red fruits, finishing slightly sweet, slightly dry.
