Our take on the classic European amber lager. It has bright reddish highlights and a pronounced bready malt aroma reminiscent of its Austrian counterparts. The flavor plays slightly toward caramel and toasted lager malt but remains balanced and drinkable with a clean finish perfect for a summer session.

Pours a clear reddish copper with a frothy tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, light nuttiness and a clean floral lager yeast Aroma in the background. Taste is much of the same with a smooth malty base complimented nicely by a smooth clean and crisp finish. Sierra Nevada is a brewery that brews excellent beers to style!

Pours a beautiful orange or light bronze, or amber. About one finger tan head. Well carbonated.

Aroma is very malty, lightly toasted. A little nutty. A little caramel and toffee. Subtle, yet complex.

Taste is very malty. Did I mention it was malty? Sweet, but almost cloying, not quite. Enough hops to keep it from being too sweet. Toasted malts shine here. A little nutty, a little caramel. Reminds me a lot of a marzen, but maybe a tad sweeter.

Mouthfeel is light to medium. Dry, super clean finish. Super drinkable. Maybe a tad bitter right at the very end.

Overall, this is great. Much better than I expected. This is a winner. Do try this one!!!

Draft @ Sierra Nevada. Pours a bright, clear, effervescent golden-orange color; significant, creamy, fine-bubbled white head with great retention and lacing; beautiful pour with lacing that coats the glass. Softly grainy, Grape-Nuts-like malt presence in the nose: clearly expressed and fresh; light mineral hop character present as well; very engaging and crisp. Medium to medium-light body; lively carbonation; lightly creamy and certainly crisp; the mouthfeel and body on this is great: crisp, dry, lightly bitter; light acidity; again, that fresh Grape Nuts / toasted malt core here is key, beautifully presented; I could drink this endlessly; very sessionable. Medium finish: toasty malt, light sugar, minerals, and even a mild huskiness; nicely dry.

pours a lovely shade of dark amber, with flecks of red glinting in the background, topped with firm white head. The aroma was grass, mild herbs and some lemon in the mix. Taste was toasty with a firm caramel sweetness all balanced with an unobtrusive hop bite, medium bodied and far too easy to drink (4 mouthfuls did the trick!).

Tap at Blind Tiger. Dry, floral aroma. Kind of sweaty and rich. Nice head. Dry, crisp, refreshing. Cookie and lettuce/cucumber notes. Bready malts and light euro hops. Very very nice. Super sessionable.

This was poured into a pilsener. The appearance was a nice golden bronzed slightly amber color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation was seen rising at a nice pace. A one finger white foamy head appears and dissipates within about a minute. The smell had a nice roasted nuttiness about it with a smooth caramel and toffee upon it. The taste was mainly sweet with a rolling nuttiness opening up on my taste buds. Lingering nutty to caramel aftertaste leading into a dry nutty finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a light sessionability about it. The carbonation seems good for the style and for me. Overall, mmmm....good Vienna Lager I’d have again and personally I think this would go great with pepperoni pizza.

Aroma is caramel, light fruit and malts. The flavor is fruit, caramel, light citrus and a mildly bitter/tart finish. Very easy to drink, among the best in the style.
