4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Big beautiful bock. Maybe a little chill haze from draught but the aroma and appearance tell you what you're getting in to: a big full palate of malty goodness with the right amount of hops to clean things up and do it again.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at The Village Idiot. Pours murky light brown with deep golden highlights and small beige head. Aroma is nice banana, medium body, medium carbonation, and good small bubble lacing. Taste is really bready, some banana, some grainy, and bubblegum. Too bready to be my favorite for the style.

Draft at Good Dog. Tulip. Very cloudy amber with a large frothy white head. Toasted wheat notes. Banana bread. Tamarind. Green tomatoes. Mangos. Apricot pits. Bamboo. Cloves. Elephant ear mushrooms. Tangelos. Touch sour up front. Earthy full citrus body. Fruity dry finish. In no way a typical Weizenbock. Bigger and better.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft pour into a wine glass. Pours a murky copper color with an off white head of foam. The aroma is papery, musty, and maybe a little spicy. Taste is more musty paper. This one really didn’t do much for me. Medium body with medium carbonation.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught... and probably my favorite example of a style I really dislike. Pours a brown color that’s very cloudy, and almost no head on it. Nose is muddy and earthy with some citrus in there. Taste was also a little sweet with the citrus elements coming through. Not a huge fan, but drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft - never thought I’d find this, let alone on tap. Light for the style with an orange presence. Spicy finish.

Pint on tap. Cloudy and opaque brown with a small film of cream. Mild nose of caramel, banana and dry grass. Tastes of clove, bubblegum, wheat, banana, sourish caramel apple and a finish of dry grass and light citrus. Medium body has medium-high but mostly smooth carbonation. Malty and sweet but finishes dry enough to nearly check the sweetness.
