THOUGHTS: A nice wheat beer. It succeeded where many fail, but this is nothing special or memorable about it.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark cloudy, yellow to light orange with beautiful carbonation and a large, rocky, white head that mostly diminished and left fair to good lacing. The aroma was nice but weak. There was an ever so slight presence of hops, light yeast, orange, lemon and wheat. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet; while the finish was moderate to heavily acidic and lightly bitter with a short duration. It was nice but weak. There was wheat, orange, yeast, and lemon, which were all a little watery; and then just a touch of hops at the end. The light body was watery and a little dry at the end with soft carbonation and a light to moderate astringent and slightly metallic and sorta chalky finish.

does not count  Nov 29, 2008 Despite the lower rating on this beer, I quiet enjoy this one. Nothing spectactular, but a reliable drinker. Perhaps the other Sirra Nevada offerings have influenced me, but I will certianly buy this agian.

Nov 28, 2008 Pours a light, slightly hazy yellow with a whimpy white head. Pretty good lacing though. Aroma is nothing much- some straw, faint hops, and grass. Taste is a little hoppier than I was expecting but lacks the traditional hefeweisen notes. No yeast or bananas or spice. Fairly high carbonation. Bitter, lemony aftertaste. Incredibly light on the palate. Could be the lightest wheat beer I have tasted- but its not necessarily bad. This is certainly the least impressionable of the Sierra Nevada offerings.

Nov 26, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy yellow with minimal head. Aroma is light with grain and a bit of malt sweetness. Flavor is also light, but with some yeast and definite wheat notes. Palate is light. Mediocre brew for the style.

Nov 26, 2008 Pours yellowish amber small white head. Aroma is slightly grainy with a bit of citrus. Flavor is light and a bit astringent. Some sweet malt but overall lacking. Palate is thin and a bit watery. Overall lacking in flavor.

Nov 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a dense white head. Smells wheaty with hints of seasoning. Tastes prominantly like wheat grains, earthy, hints of clove maybe, but plain. Semi sweet aftertaste with very little citrus. Pretty good beer and drinkable. Might try garnishing with an orange next time to spruce it up.
