750 shared at Craft Ale House. Clear copper pour,, looking a lot like bourbon. Nose is huge and complex; with huge oaky whiskey notes, vanilla, plum, spirity heat. I could smell this one for hours. Tastes rich, complex, with big oaky and whiskey flavors up front, some mid-palate heat, vanilla, plum, hops, figgy fruit, and a smooth, powerful finish. This is one of the best beers I have quaffed.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Thewade (172) - USA - MAR 31, 2013
Superb. I’m a big fan of Bigfoot, and this is just Nasty (in a good way). Loved sharing this with 2 friends. Smoothe, but not for the weak pallated beer drinkers of the world.

(Critique chaotique du extreme beer fest 2013): Les houblons sont très présents, juste un peu plus aplanis. Peu de vanille ou de whiskey mais un léger tannin poivré, vraiment délicieux.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 DuffMan (5196) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 30, 2013
Bottle, shared with Parksy and others. The core character of the Bigfoot is not lost here, and the barrel adds lovely sweet toasty marshmallow, vanilla, and rumcake notes to the already chewy malt structure. The hops are here too, but much less evident. Really great stuff, just as I hoped!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 radagast83 (3110) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Tap at Churchkey for CBC. This one poured an amber color with a touch of brown to it with a tiny off-white head. Aroma was some booze in this, touch of light citrus remains, but it’s mostly sweet malts surrounded by a ton of barrel, vanilla and some toasted coconut and raisin notes. Alcohol burns still a bit, a touch rough around the edges, but enjoyable.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 stumpyiliz (135) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 25, 2013
Nice orange ruby pour, light fizzing head. aromas of whiskey, vanilla, figs. Aging has done this well although I think one more year in the bottle and it will be prime. It still has a heavy hop profile that hides a lot of the underlying flavors of raisin, fig and plum. Finish is dry and whiskey.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 poisoneddwarf (1307) - Rathdrum, Idaho, USA - MAR 24, 2013
750 ml corked and caged bottle. "2013 Expedition" is what it says on the label. Pours cloudy brown with orange highlights and a long-sustaining beige head. Aroma consists of toasted coconut, caramel, wet river rock, candied dark fruit. Taste starts out sweet, turns a little tangy and bitter before a lingering savory bitterness finishes it off. Body is huge, carbonation average for style, mouthfeel oily. The wood does wonders here, making an already exceptional beer exquisite. Awesome.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 pantanap (3153) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 23, 2013
750ml bottle. Thanks to my brother in law josh for hooking this up... Pours a deeper reddish amber, smooth and consistent throughout, and topped with a creamy off-white head... Aroma of whiskey with hints of vanilla, dark fruits with an all around sweetness. Caramel toffee throughout. Smooth with a touch of woody spice on the backend... Flavors are more of the same with vanilla, caramel toffee to go alongside the bourbon barrel presence. Surprisingly, there is still a pronounced bitterness on the backend while being sweet through the middle. Just above medium bodied with adequate. Smooth sweet deep malty presence. Enjoyable actually.
