4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle. Cannot believe I have not had this bad boy before. Love the Big Foot. The barrel aging does wonders. The vanilla notes smooth it out but the aging doesn’t reduce the wonderful hop profile. Pours a orange brown haze with light beige head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, earthiness, bread, vanilla and booze. Sweet citrusy caramel taste with nice hop hit and smooth creamy vanilla on the backend. Excellent beer. Might be my favorite Bwine because of the complexity.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
God almighty. I’m a SN fanboy, but this might be the best thing I’ve ever had by the brewery. Barrel Aged Bigfoot is more than just SN’s classic barleywine plus vanilla/oak notes. This is a complex, boozy monster that leaves a storm in your mouth well past the swallow. It pours a brilliant, deep amber color with a lot of foamy head. The aroma is caramel and vanilla and booze, with a candy/molasses backbone that only hints at the good things to come. The flavor is warm and woody on the front, then brings a flood of sweetness. Figs, vanilla, walnuts, gingerbread, and then a big, aggressive whiskey blast on the finish. This is a beer to sip, not to guzzle. I hope I can get a couple more bottles to sip on before this release is all gone.

Pours a deep clear amber color with a small off white head. Aromas of booze, wood, sugar, caramel and vanilla. Flavor followed the nose perfectly. Lots of alcohol and burn, this was def a sipper for me. full body, slick and thin texture. Very lively carbonation and a alcohol burn to finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the NC Taproom. The pour is mahogany with aromas of oak, bourbon and malt. Rich and malty with some earthy spices and oak and bourbon. Alcohol warmth is prevalent. Good, but could use some age to calm the rough edges.

Big sweet toffee, raisins, cognac, and caramel, a really nice well-rounded barleywine. I would drink this any time I can get it.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by Gabe. Deep amber / copper pour with thin veil of white foam. Aroma is good, really roasty, nutty, light oaky vanilla notes, had it side by side with regular Bigfoot and this one appeared (obviously) much less hoppy, rich caramel malt notes, hickory. Taste is sweet, nice bitterness to balance, tons of dried fruits, caramel, grassy finish with nice strong warming alcohol. Palate is full bodied, mouth coating with just enough carbonation. Quite enjoyable, good barley wine.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Deep copper pour, attractive long lasting off white silky and thin head. Dominant aroma are of oak, whiskey with hops playing in the background. Interesting flavor, does not remind me much of the regular bigfoot. I do get brown sugar and raisin flavors. Hops seem more subdued than the non barrel aged variant. A well crafted brew on the whole. ABV is well masked. Smoother palate than the regular beer. If this wasn’t pricey, I’d be buying this more often for sure.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
4 or 5 bottles from over the past month but now im finally rating this brew. Purchased at Kelley Liquor in Las Cruces
Pours dark amber hue with a small fizzy eggshell head and no lacing at all. Nose has huge woody notes, vanilla, molassas, whiskey and alcohol. Flavors exhibit the big woody whiskey however, this base beer still shines very well. The nose is good, but the flavors are much better. Im very happy to say that the hops still shine in this brew because in most barleywines that are barrel aged, the hops usually drop out. Long resinous finish with lingering whiskey woody notes and slightl alcohol burn. Very nice barrel age on this brew!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Red/copper pour, off white head. Palate had a sticky mouth feel that i did not feel belonged. Flavor was overwhelming. A lot going on and in the end it just doesn’t come together for me.
