Very nice. fordest (1857), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jan 17, 2008 Draft at O’Brien’s. Nice Chocolate and Sweet Coffee aromas off this super dark pour with a nice tan head. Flavors were wood, and more chocolate and coffee. A very good stout. I liked this one a lot. CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 22, 2007 Sampled at the second annual Bistro’s West Coast Barrel Aged Beer Fest: Pours a nearly opaque dark mahogany with a well-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of woody vanilla and toasty dark caramel and chocolate maltiness. Body starts fairly rich and earthy dark chocolatey with good woody complexity and balance toward a drier oaky finish. A nice, barrel-aged stout. mkobes (2045), paramus, New Jersey, USA Sep 23, 2007 Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep dark brown in color with a nice fluffy tan head. Malty vanilla and bourbon aroma. Caramel vanilla oak notes. Caramel roasty chocolatety malty flavor. Roasty notes. Rich and creamy. Full bodied. Well balanced beer. Nice.
